Ok. you tell me

I've never had to use "Puppy pads" to train a dog.  Is it normal to have the damn things EVERYWHERE!!  I was thinking that maybe I should cut down the qty ande then what did he do?  Pooped where the pads were, not where the ARE!!!  So when you start training, is it normal to have half of your house in "Puppy Pads Carpet"

Bless his little heart.  He's been in a kennel his entire life.  He didn't know anything about a house when I brought him here.  The ceiling fan blew his mind.  He doesn't understand dogs on TV,  The one place he doesn't seem to go to the bathroom is the bedroom.  We all sleep in there and that's where they stay while I'm gone.  He has enough sense not to use the bathroom where he sleeps. 

Oh yeah, and.. If I'm reading before bed, or watching TV before I go to sleep, when I'm ready I take my glasses of and put them on the side table.  Guess who found them and decided chewing on the part that goes behind your ear?  Yep, little Andy.  When I found them the thingy behind the ear was nothing but pointed metal and sharp.  So now I look like Super Geek with white tape covering the ear thingy so it won't slice into my head.

I need to go to the Eye Dr anyway

• Note to stores...Just because I'm using a recycled bag DOES NOT mean put every item in the store in the damn bag.  Just sayin
• Mazda 3's aren't all they're cracked up to be.  Especially as a loner while your car gets fixed
• Car repair place closes at 5 pm. Sucks when you leave your garage door opener in your car.   Back up...non locatable
• Steelers & Packers.  One hell of a Super Bowl!!!
• OOPS.  I was one of the Twitters during the Packers/Bears game yesterday.  I've never liked Cutler a bit anyway, even when he was at Vandy.
• Why now, after all these years am I having such strong urges for cigarettes.  Bad...urges making me grumpy

Good lord its hotter n/hell here

and plenty of other places but since I'm here.  I'm talking about here...I was feeling pretty good when I woke up this morning (9:00) but tired.   That is a good chemo day I'm telling you.  SO.,since my back  yard hadn't been mowed in 3 weeks it had to be done so I decided to do it right away before it got toooooo hot to do it.  Now, my yard is the size of a postage stamp, but since I had it fenced in I am responsible for cutting it.  My co-worker has been cutting it for me since the beginning of spring but I fell like I should be able to do it.  So, I did it 3 wks ago and again this morning!!  (Me and every neighbor that has to cut their grass). It only takes 30 minutes to cut it so I was done at 9:30.  Rosco is soooo excited that his privates aren't getting tickled when he goes out any more.   

So I have accomplished that and now I'm half dead on the couch.  I want to sleep.  But..today is get the nails done  Its one treat I allow myself every two weeks.  I wonder, can I fall asleep getting them done?  Customers laugh at me because I have sweaters, and heavy socks on to help with my neuropathy and the fact that I'm cold as hell half the time.  They keep those darn salons colder than dammit and if I get cold..........totally useless.  

After I get the nails done, I'll go get Rosco a pool and get some food for dinner.  Although I don't feel like eating now, I will then.  I figure when I feel like eatingl..I'd better.   Last night I fixed rice with edamame (sp) in it.  It was so good but......Rosco absolutely adored it.  He ate what I couldn't and cleaned the bowl.  Finally something that might be good for him that he likes.  So, I'll get plenty of them at the store.   He needs a diet.  

What are you doing today?  Where is football season?  Since the Cubs stink I'm not feeling like watching them stink.  I've done enough of that in my life.  I guess I'll find some movies and watch them.  100 deg is too hot to go out.

Wednesday...even

if I've thought it was Tuesday all day.   Went and got IV fluids this morning.  I'm hoping that it helps the next few days.  I'm going to a "everyone's birthday" part on Sat afternoon and I so want to feel good.  

I've also taken Friday off this week.  Yes, I've taken one vacation day and have nothing to do.  I may sleep all day, whatever but.....I will enjoy.  Its just time for me to have a day off and right away.   Hope I don't need it again but I'll enjoy it this weekend!!!

Got it!!

I went to Walmart and got the steam cleaner.  Put it in the car since I couldn't see in front of my cart and no one seemed to notice me.  I nearly creamed a few people.!! (some needed it)

So, I'm going back in for some groceries.  We won't discuss what I got but....I went to the Dairy dept to get milk.  Opened the refrigeration area for the milk and it started.  The neuropathy in my hands.  OMG I couldn't use my fingers for anything. How rather embarrassing .  Of course I didn't stop and bought cold items, frozen items but it didn't matter.  The neuropathy kept up the whole time I was in the store.  Even when I went to the clothing dept.  It didn't stop.  Once I got outside where it was warm it started to improve and was ok when I got home.  I've just never been that disabled and it was scary.  Mercifully the girl at the check out realized something was wrong and helped me but goodness what an ordeal.  

I've talked to the nurse at the chemo office about talking to the DR about cutting the meds back that cause that.  They're going to have to because its really effecting my job and if they want to get paid......they need to make sure I can do my job!!

Rosco and I are having Kelbasa tonight.  We're going to watch the Daytona Race and maybe steam clean the carpet.  Did anyone watch the Daytona race last night?   Yeah Little E.   He finally won a race and in the 3 car to beat it all.  I loved it!!

Waiting again

Well the procedure went ok.  Of course just like last time, I have to wait for the results of biopsies that the Dr took.  I'm home and full of gas right now, fortunately Rosco is being a very good puppy today.  

I don't fell too well right now but I wanted to keep you updated.  It also snowed today. Geeze.where the hell is Spring.

Good News!!

First of all HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!!!  And its a beauty too..  Its a bit chilly but its going up to 70 today.  How wonderful!!

Next good news is ...the biopsy's that were taken two weeks ago are benign.  No sign of malignancy anywhere.  Of course Monday is the colonoscopy.  Lets hope the results there are the same too.  

Go Vols...both team play today.  Lady Vols and then followed by the Men Vols later in the afternoon.  I am hoping to get all of my "running" done and then come home, open all the windows etc to air this place out and just enjoy the day.

What a week...

Well,I worked all week and that was fine but by the time I got home after work I was dead tired.  Poor Rosco, he isn't getting much these days.  With the Upper GI being clear, it means they still haven't found whats wrong with me yet, therefore I'm not feeling better at all.  I did get a haircut last Saturday and I am in love with it right now.  It is nice to have a haircut that just looks good.  I think I'll stay with this guy..  

I now start a "low residue" diet, around Thursday or Friday.  Then there's that dreadful "cleaning" process and then hopefully we'll find out what the problem is and fix it.  

The weather is dreadful again.  We had sun last weekend, but haven't seen it since Monday and now the temps are dropping and of course, I'm freezing.  

I'd give you all a detailed description of my coming week but I believe that falls under TMI, if ya know what I mean.  I will keep posting.

So far so good

Well, the procedure isn't so bad.  Actually I guess I had imagined a certain kind of hell and  it didn't happen.  It was a very nice sleep I was in, and I didn't even want to wake up.  According to the Dr there is no evidence of where the bleeding is coming from.  Oh yeah, that means the lower GI is an absolutely a necessity.  Joy.  They did take some biopsy samples but I won't hear anything on them for about 10 days.  I have pictures if anyone wants a copy.  I'm thinking of starting a scrapbook. 

I'm still drowsy.  The weather is beautiful and Rosco is tanning in the backyard.  I, of course, am freezing but it is beautiful here today.  Back to work tomorrow.

Oh I had such wonderful news today from a friend of mine.  Her position had been terminated so she was let go Jan 1.  Now they're talking about laying her hubby off, which would really leave them in a bind.  Well, her former company called and asked her to come back in another position, same pay, start next week. !!!!  She is one of my closest friends and I'm so happy for her I can't even explain it.  Its is so good when good things happen to good people!!!

 

Grrrrrr--for today anyway

I've been a bit under the weather for the last 3-4 wks.  I thought, rightly, that it was an bladder infection.  Oh joy, but what they found out when then did blood work was, that I'm dangerously anemic.  Now, I was a little glad of that because I felt so bad, I mean just useless.  Freezing all they time and sleeping all the time.  

So, now I'm going to have to have an Upper GI tests tomorrow, Oh joy. and in 2 wks the dreaded lower GI test.  I'm bleeding from somewhere and they need to find it.  I have no idea what all these tests are like or what to expect.  I've heard about the colonoscopy but never the Upper Gi.  I know I have to take both days off of work.  Fortunately, I have a co-worker who is going to pick me up tomorrow and take me and then pick me up when I'm done and take me home.  Friends are wonderful.  

I'm terrified.  I know theres a million things this could be but...You know, some things just keep popping in your head whether you like it or not.   I can't have any solid foods after 8 nor liquids after midnight.  I'll be long asleep (hopefully) by midnight.  

If anyone has had the upper GI, I'd appreciate any input...or just advice.  Sometimes, living alone can just suck.

Olympics and stuff

Ok, I am watching live Olympic Speed cross country skiing.  Here's the thing..  I don't care a whit about that.  What I like to watch is going to be on tape delay tonight.  That's not even so bad except.....They don't show the good stuff i.e., American teams until past my bed time.  I've tried to stay up and ended up waking up around 2 am to go to bed.  Grrrr..  

Now, just to let you know it is freaking beautiful here today.  It's 57 now, sun shining and its is neither raining or snowing.  This has been the most unusual winter here in the South that the one very nice day is like a gift from God.  Which of course it is...Rosco is tanning on where the sun comes in the back windows.  I've left the door open so he can go in and out as he pleases so we're having a loverly afternoon.

I wish I had a lot of news and happenings to tell you about, but I'm  so boring.  Its been so darned cold etc, the thought of going to just isn't there.  Rosco isn't interested.  Jasper has a wonderful new home and I'm so happy for him.  I can't wait to see him again.

It just took me 1-1/2 hrs to drive home.  on ice, in the snow, with every other vehicle in East Tennessee.  And lets not go into the a$$holes that pay NO, I mean NO attention to the ice or snow ...cause wrecks and make it worse.  S*B's  We're supposed to have more snow tonight and tomorrow.  Its feels like 18 now and the low will be 15 (real) tonight. This is totally intolerable.  Its not supposed to be this cold in Tennessee.  Grrrrrrr.  

Meanwhile.  Just because I'm in Tennessee I can still say.................

Happy Palindrome Day.  Hope you're having a great weekend.  Its colder than dammit here today.  It's still only 27 degrees here and its 3pm.  I'm very slowly taking down the Christmas Decorations since the thought of the garage and the attic does nothing at all for me.  Plus my house looks stripped.  No more pretty decorations. Just my plain fake flowers etc.  

Have you made any resolutions or at least some things to change?  I know I've decided that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.  It only matters what I think.  I've been letting other peoples moods, or things they say put me into a humdinger of a depression.  I can not let that continue to happen.  It is easy to get depressed when you live alone, and there isn't anyone else around to "cheer you up" so I'll just have to work on it myself.  I obviously can't make people change so.....I'll learn to live with it my way.  

So.  Rosco and I are working, sitting, working sitting etc.  He seems to like that, especially the "break part".  I think his New Year holiday was as hard on him as it was me.  Maybe he's older than 2..hehehe.  

Have a great holiday Saturday as I wonder where the NFL season went.  Its too early for this season to be over dammit!!!

 

Cookin' this weekend

Ok if you don't have anything to do Saturday afternoon, head down to Gainsville, FL to watch a true killing on a football field.  Right about the time the Florida/Tennessee game starts.  Florida is favored by 30 points. I would like to think our defense is better than that, and I'm pretty sure it is but if our QB continues to give the football away............there isn't much you can do. 
Now, don't get me wrong..I'm praying to the gods of football, and my best friend, who passed away this day 11 years ago, that we beat Florida and they're gonna have to help.  I think my friend Enza would absolutely LOVE Lane Kiffin so maybe she'll interfere from above and help him out.  Geeze he's gonna need it.
I'm getting better but I still  have occasional stomach issues.  I don't know if its the healing process or what.  I hope it is 'cause I sure don't want anything more to go wrong.  I sure would appreciate any input from other gall bladder recoverers out there. 
Rosco is asleep next to me on the couch.  We're watching ESPN. I think we're both tired but I don't know why.  He didn't get his big walk tonight because its raining.

So much for plans..

Ok so I find a great grill at Lowe's.  It's marked down 100.00 and I think I love it.  It was assembled so I asked for them to deliver it.  We decided that today would be a good day.  I decided since the Lowe's was close I'd be an early delivery.......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I got a call at 7:30 am telling me that they would be here between...........4:30 and 7:30  PM..............Shit I tell you,,,,yes I got a lot of housework done but I have plans every Friday night and of course its not looking good is it?  GRRRRRRR.  Why do I think I'm the 7:30 delivery...just a feeling you know, but its now 6:15 and guess who's not here....and who is.
With both of my wonderful dogs who have been very good today. 
I've studied and did you know you're not supposed to cut your grass down to its lowest.  You should see my dreadful back yard.  Of course, two dogies peeing all over it doesn't help but I didn't cut it so short this time.  Now I suppose I need to do something to help it out.  Anyone have any ideas?  I really know nothing about growing grass and would love some advice if anyone has it..Is it too late in the summer to do anything? (besides encourage the doggies to pee in only ONE spot)

I'm off today.  Trying to use up vacation days before the end of the year.  You know, "use them or lose them".    Maxi and I just got  up and here we sit watching ESPN. 
You know the tax check I sent?  Well, I've decided I should be glad that I have a house/money to pay them right?  I think by next year I'm going to have to find the monthly increase in my budget.  I don't like just handing money away like that.

Under the weather

This da*n asthma is trying to kill me.  I've been coughing like I was upchucking a lung.  I've also been just plain feeling like crap.  I'm not trying for sympathy.  It could be a lot worse.  I went back to the DR today and have a stronger version of asthma meds.  Go back in 2 weeks and see if it'll work.  I'd lust love a few nights of good sleep. But I'm here but I haven't done anything exciting or even self improving in 2 weeks. 
oh yeah,  I also got a flu shot.  I've never had one, never had the flu but the Dr's office said I should really have one this year. 
I'd better NOT get sick from it...
Oh yeah.  It is only October...38 in the am should be outlawed

Its just asthma

Ok so I went to the Dr's today.  Had that test that will show whether you have asthma or not.  After nearly suffocating and my line suddenly dropped 20%, and they finally gave me the medicine to combat the attack they determined that it was asthma.  So now I'm on Advair and hopefully that will take care of it.  I'm going back in 2 weeks to make sure the medicine is the right strength etc.  So I'm fine..well with that one exception.  Here's my biggest hope....that the cough will drop away to nearly nothing.  The last two days have been pretty awful.
Tonight I feel like crap.  I'm not sure what to do but go to bed so I'm waiting for Maxi's last trip outside and then we're going to bed.
Oh  yeah, to mention the Chili party I'm having this Saturday, because you know, its supposed to be cold.......................Its' going to be 80 and humid as hell Saturday.  MMMMM Joy 

Here and there

I have to say this.  We have a new traffic reporter here in K-town.  and her name is "LEFT TURN LAURA".   Why does that drive me crazy...Do  ya think I'm getting older than I feel and thus I'm reacting like that.  I just think its stupid.  How can you put much faith in Left turn Laura...geeze.
Meanwhile...the house.  My wonderful house. 
I don't know how to say how great this is.  I'm getting places in this house..like the realization that """this is mine!!!""".  Totally mine and Maxi's.  He's about got it figured out that its our house and he's acting more and more comfortable.  He has possession of the whole house when I'm gone and he's done so well all day. The realization that this is my house is slowly sinking in more and more.  I found myself standing in the garage tonight just staring at it thinking how cool this is!!. 
May I just say this before I sign off...I MAY LOVE WARREN SAPP!!!!!  Watching him dance is a hoot!!  I hope he stays around for a while ( Dancing with Stars).

So its hump day!!

Let me just say I'm ready to make the downpayment and move on in to my new house.  Of course I have so much packing to do I'm really not ready but I want to be.  There are boxes everywhere.  Some full, some waiting to be filled.
I'm going to the DR today.  I can not get rid of this cough and its getting worse.  My family dr referred me to an ENT guy to see if he can figure out if this is an allergy or something.  Yesterday was just plain hell.  I think I scared Maxi who is up tight enough as it is..He just doesn't understand the concept "new house/moving".  All he sees is boxes everywhere...I keep telling him he'll love it there.

OMG. Today is the first day of school.  And of course I slept late.  GRRRRR...Its interesing here in my living room with boxes everywhere.  You wouldn't believe how much crap I threw away.  10 years is a long time. 
Oh yeah, did I tell you there are NO STEPS in my condo?  Excuse me while I smile, just a bit.

I Love this!!!

Look what I bought yesterday. I had been saving up for this for a long time and saw it marked down yesterday and bought it. Since I drink Tea, this is perfect. Company can have coffee. It's always ready. Shuts off at night and back on at 5am. I've cleaned out one of my favorite rat holes yesterday. I have so many and they're so awful. I am such a pack rat. Some day I need to break that pattern ya know. But thats exactly what I tell myself every time I move. Oh well. More cleaning/trashing today. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. Itts nice herel

Happy Monday

We had our fund raising golf tournament Saturday.  It was  a beautiful day, but with very strong winds.  The food was wonderful and the total amount raised was 12,002.00.  The 2 is always there because my roomie was a big Rusty Wallace fan so we always made sure the ending number was 2.  Our total for 10 years was around $95,000.  I think I'll have pictures but not for a while.
As for me. I still want to sleep so moving around this am is a challenge.   Oh yeah, its 54 degrees this morning,  75 this afternoon.  In other words, its going to be a beauty of a day just as soon as the fog lifts.   Yes. fog....lots of it too..
This is going to be a wonderful week.  First, just in case you didn't know.  I will be a grandmother again on Wednesday.  Scheduled to happen at noon, give or take).  How wonderful is that!!.  Especially knowing the story of my daughter and her difficulty getting to this point in a pregnancy.
Secondly...my wonderful son is going to turn 30 this weekend.  I'm not sure how excited he is to be 30, but I'm very excited for him
Thirdly...I only have to work 4 days this week and I don't comb back until next Wednesday..Off  5 days.use only 2 vacation days.  OH yeah!!!!

Oh My

This is what I came home to yesterday.  Well, this and teeeny weeeny new refrigerator.  Yep,  this is what the landlord left me.  All kinds of stuff just sat there from noon on.  I had to mop the floors etc.  I guess I should be thankful for a new refrig but...............................the handles are on the wrong side.  Me and Maxi don't like that a single bit.

Right now they're showing the crops circles that some guy found on is property.  Those things are amazing. This is the picture of the ones last  year in the same county...

..They were determined have not been made by humans.

The "investigators" are coming to look at them.  The elder lady who owns the land said that if it was aliens she'd go with them she didn't care and since she can't speak "alien" they'd better speak English...The girl on TV is getting very scared if its aliens.

Terrific Tuesday???

Its about 43 this morning.  High this afternoon  78.  So what does a girl wear.... This time of year is so good for sleeping late and getting up around 10.  Unfortunately, its very  busy at work so.......and its going to rain this weekend again.  I think that's about 6 weeks.  Oh joy.
I got my debit card in the mail yesterday.  Then I had to deal with all of the places that I subscribe to something or other monthly.  i.e, Typepad, MLB., Napster and the absolutely worst to have contact with is XM radio.  Calling them is not only a language issue but getting them to shut up and to quit trying to sell me something else always ends up with me screaming politely for them to shut up..
Oh yeah, I've been up since 5:30.  Its now 6:10.  My dog is still asleep..doing just what he wants to do and will eventually rub it in.   Deeply.

Just Monday

Much absence today at work.  It was awful. and it occurred in every department.  Don't really know why it was raining like hell.  They finally got the weather right...especially when all of my umbrella's in the car.  OMG you should have seen my hair when I got to the car. 
Life without a debit card is awful.  No, I don't have a bunch of cash on me and all I need is a bag of salad fixins.  Do you think its worth it to write a check for just that.  I may make a career out of this debit card issue. At least until I get the replacement.

My dog is limping.  How can a dog develop a limp when he sleeps all day?  Slept in a bad position I guess.

• I talked to Zoot last night and she sound awful. She's got two more days on the antibiotics and then she's going to call and inform the the pack just isn't working.....like she feels awful /worse.   Being pregnant and a limited amount of meds to take isn't helping either.
• The damn Vols lost last night.  Vols haven't played good bb in the past few weeks.  Not surprised.  Just disappointed..dammit..........

Tuesday.......

Okay...the weather dude is saying its going to snow tonight/tomorrow AM.  Or not.  Geeze. 
Yesterday...I come home from work and head upstairs to get Maxi.........OMG.  Something made him dreadfully sick.  All over my bedroom floor right inside the door.  The poor guy, it had to have been attacking him from both ends.  NOW..let me just say this...Coming home to that can really, really ruin a Monday evening.  He seems to be ok today but  I'm still worried about him. 
Also.  5 more schools closed due to illness

Good News....

My children and grandchildren are coming in this coming weekend.  That alone is enough for a wonderful week don't ya think?  I even got the "guest room" cleared out this weekend so some of them can stay in it..This is the best news I've had since Thanksgiving. 
Now, did you watch that basketball game Saturday night? Keep in mind, I am not a basketball fan but...I am a Vol fan and...it was fantastic!!!  Of course since the Vols won (and the will be NUMBER ONE!!!) it was a much better game....Bruce Pearl is the "cats meow" around here.  Of course they have to play Vanderbuilt Tuesday and actually winning that game is more important than Memphis...
Its going to be nearly 60 today..........and snow on Wed.  Of course it hasn't snowed yet when they've predicted it but we'll see.

Ok..I went to Walmart this morning early.  I just needed a few things and I wanted to get there before the "crowds".   I got two items and then went to the food side of the store.  Did you know that their freezer sections stays dark until someone walks up that aisle AND it only lights up per section so if you turn around and go back the way you came...the rest of the sections don't light up..  I guess I didn't ever notice it before because I've always been there when its crowded but geeze..........that is eerie at 8am... Just saying
Football.....Yay Packers.....grrr Pats but.. watched that game last night and I guess it was the first time I haven't been doing something else when they're on and I hate to admit this but Brady is just damn good!!

If you call Comcast because your cable doesn't work....It cost $34.00+ to fix it or you can drive 15 miles and take it back.   I Hate Comcast.
If you call AT&T because you want to update your phone, its been one year and I've always updated mine at this time for as long as I can remember...She will tell you waiting 3-4 more months is something I will have to live with because that's the way it is now. Three times she said that............I finally told her it was a joy dealing with her, I was sorry she was having a dreadful evening and that I would call back in March and maybe she would be in a better mood. and I hung up.
Maybe I'll be ok then too.llllllllllll  or not.  AT&T..Thanks Cingular

First, Laura has posted an update about her dad.  Go check it out....its good news for now...

I'm not a meme person but I saw on yesterday list what you want for Christmas so I gave it some thought.  So for all of your benefit I'll share it with you.

First I want some person who will take me out to dinner once a week.  Or, cook me dinner at the house.  And it would have to be a weeknight. I think that's when I would appreciate it more
This person would also warm up and de-ice my car on freezing mornings and be happy to do it. 

Second...I would like to find a job that pays well and is closer to my grandchildren.  That actually is first,.  I do believe I would be just ecstatic. (of course the lotto could take care of that too!!!. I guess  I should by a ticket)

Third.  To wake up on the day after New Year, leave for work, come home and all of the decorations are down and put away

And finally.  Since I'm driving home Christmas AM.......Good weather puhlease.

Here I am,,

I don't think I'm a very good blogger.  Or at least I'm not a good one when I'm in a mood like this.  My life is relatively boring and  ITS TOO DAMN COLD to do anything exciting.  I hate cold.  Seems like all I've been doing lately ( past year) is whining about the weather.  It 24 here.  That folks is not "regular" weather this time of the year.  Makes me worry a bit about January.
Da*n Bears.  Lost my last chance to win something  And no..I didn't pick them, nor did I pick Minnesota.  Someone else picked the  so I needed the Bears to win.  Grrrrrrrr
I made a bunch of candy on Sunday. I have so much (and I'm not supposed to eat it) I don't know what I'll do with it.  I think I'll go look for gift bags today and see where I can "distribute" it ....want some?  Its my first attempt..  Not terribly pretty but it does taste good.
Game show on ABC "DUEL" isn't so bad.  I watched it last night and if the writers strike goes on it may be something interesting to watch.

I've named this one today and tomorrow because I am off tomorrow. I'm still using up some time left from the year.  This will be my last one until 1/2 day Christmas Eve.  Yes everyone, we have to work 1/2 day Christmas Eve.  Can't understand that a bit but...gotta get paid.  Of course did I start out right?  Dr appt at 8:20 AM  damn dummy that I am.  Trying to get everything done before the end of the year since, once again, they're changing our insurance once again.
It's 32 here this morning.  High today 42.  High Sunday  68    Go figure

FINALLY

I've got the dip in the crock pot and another one ready.  I bought plenty of chips etc.  Donating 6-7 bottles of riesling and they're in the car.  The wine is home brewed and its pretty darned good considering I'm not a fan of white wine. 
BUT.  The best thing is....I went to Kohl's this morning to take back 2 pr of jeans that don't fit.  Too damn big.  Which is good but seriously, I have the worst time finding jeans that fit.   I'm short 5'2" in shoes and I may never see a size 10 again.  BUT I found some Gloria Vanderbilts that actually fit!!  The key is buy their petite size from the petite department, not petite jeans in the womens dept.   I stocked up on a few pairs and am so happy about finally finding some.  I'm going to donate all those jeans I've tried to fit into the past few years to the shelter.  For now, its a good day!!!

Just don't know

Ok, I know that California is beautiful. I've been there and it sure is...Some places more than other.  BUT...they just announced, on the news, that another fire had broken out in the Mountains of San Clarita...as if that isn't bad enough...there was an earthquake in the area too....WHAT????.  Beauty comes at a price doesn't it.? 
I hooked up my "wireless" printer to this computer last night.  I guess "hooked" up is the wrong term but this laptop will print to it without wires...Yeah me.I can do something worthwhile once in a while.   
The news on the car.....The put the radiator in it.  Started it and something is dreadfully wrong with the engine.   They're supposed to call me and let me know.  I'm so ready for my car and I'd like to know what the hell hit it that did that kind of damage. Whatever it was, it packed one hell of a punch.

The darned Bears got me out of a suicide board and another weekly one.  They were supposed to win dammit.  I should have known not to take them.  It was between them and the Browns.  Of course the Browns won..grrrrr
My Titans won and that's always a good thing.  i do love looking at Jeff Fisher.  OMG some of this is scaring me.  I don't have anything to post and November is getting here sooner and sooner..

Monday!!

I opted  to sleep late today so this will be short.  I don't like getting up while is dart.  I like to sleep until the sun comes up.
There were two shows this weekend that I had recorded.  "Bionic Woman" was pretty ok..I'm not really thrilled with th way they are beginning to develop her character but I'm going to stick with it for a while.  I'll be taping it and of course watching Criminal Minds..
The other one was "Chuck".  My daughter told me it would be good and once again she was right. I think its on opposite "Heroes" so taping is in order.

Weekends.....

You know after you get everything done on Saturday (which, by the way I didn't)  It just makes the weekend too damn short.  I guess I shouldn't complain, at least we have weekends right?

My new car is working beautifully.  Its so quiet and having the xm radio is wonderful!! I don't have to take mine and hook it up........

Right now its 51 here and its beautiful...The sun is shining right in my living room and it just "feels food" Having the a/c turned off...

Maxi., you know him..my little baby?  He's been having some warts popping up.  He's probably got 8 or more and some of them are rather noticeable.  Even though I thought they were "old dog" warts I just wanted to make sure that's all it was.  Well that may be the case with the warts, but that little grape sized lump the found in the general area of "his family jewels" isn't normal.  So, celebrating the car will have to wait.  He's having a biopsy on Wednesday.   They have to put him asleep to do this and Maxi is 10 so they're going to have to do special blood work to make sure he can be put asleep.  Those of you that know me and what happened with my roommate know the last thing I'd want to have done to my baby is to put him out.  I scared to death for him and if I think about it too much I get to crying... I'm not really a crier but since  yesterday  I've been doing just that.

At least its Thursday.  These long days are killing me.  I work, go home and go to bed.  That's it.  As you can see, I don't post either.  I slept late this morning and now I have to go...Doggonit....................
BB is tonight.   I know who won HOH 1 and HOH 2..., Of course "W" is speaking tonight....grrrr.  He does this every year at the end of BB season....grrrr.
Vols vs  Florida this week......GO VOLS!!!!
