Might as well confess

I will not be awake at midnight tonight...unless the UT bowl game is still going on...and that's a big maybe.  A bunch of us are going to a golf "resort" and renting condo's, eating there, watching the game there and sleeping there.  At least we'll not be on the road at all.  Some of them are going up there to play golf today...............mmmmm.  I am going later this afternoon.  

I'm glad 2009 is over.  It was just a terrible year in so many ways.  When you wake up on New Years day sick, stay that way for 4 days...it kinda bodes what the coming year may bring.  I'll make sure that doesn't happen this year.  I don't have a gall bladder so hopefully that will help...

Wonderful Christmas

Back home, and back to work.  Oh the thrill!!  I can not put it into words.  

I went to Alabama for Christmas.  Both of my children were there, although we didn't get to visit much.  Lets face it..,Christmas is for children and the grandchildren were absolutely wonderful.  It was so much fine.  Its is so wonderful having my children to be around during the Holidays.  I don't know what I'd do without that.  They both have their lives and share them with me.  I love it.

Now, I'm home.  Alone so its usually a big ol' downer.  I used to stay home on New Years Eve and get into a big ol' funk.  I've changed it a bit. A bunch of us are going up to a Golf "Resort" and renting Condo's, having dinner in their dining room and WALKING any place we go.  We're eating at 6 pm.  The UT bowl game starts at 7:30pm so we all must be done eating so we can gather in one of the condo's to watch the game.  It should be a lot of fun and it kind of keeps me out of the holiday "let down" funk , or at least puts a delay on it. 

I did learn a few things this weekend.  "Cake Balls"...Have you ever tasted them?  Made them?  They are so addictive.   We had them at Christmas and everyone kept eating them...So, I made some too.  Took them to work and good god..They're all gone.  You can google "Cake Balls" or go to Bakerella for the recipe but I promise you will love them...

Try them for New Years....This is a promise, you'll be glad you did!!

Had a great day...

First...When your grandchildren are coming by at 8am on Wednesday......Do not sit up until 2 am watching Dexter and drinking wine Tuesday night..  I was having such a nice time but good lord what a headache this morning.  It went away after the kids got here and we had a wonderful day.  I love having them around. All three of them. 

The dreadful things about my ex-hubby's house.  Evidently a homeless person set up for a place to live.  They found all kinds of indications that someone was living there  That place was unheated etc but I guess it was shelter.  THEN.  the great big tree next to the house, fell over on top of it virtually destroying the house.  Sad demise to the house they were raised in. 

All of us are headed to Alabama tomorrow for Christmas.  I can't wait.  I have to somehow get all the Christmas presents into my car and maybe have room for Rosco and me.  That is going to take some doing.  

Its a wonderful time of year even if its cold.  I'm hoping like heck that supposed ice storm that is brewing ends up being only rain.  No one needs ice on top of last weeks storm.  I'm also hoping that we can all get to Alabama tomorrow before the rain hits.  Traffic will be a nightmare I'm sure.

Yeah for today

I'm gone...Last work day until Monday.  Off on vacation and holidation so to speak.  I got all of the wrapping done, vacuumed etc. The kids will be here at 8 am.  I'm baby sitting and Lilz will watch them when I have to take Rosco to the vet.  the vet is incredibly close so I should be back soon and I can't wait to see my grandchildren.  I'm tired. Its almost midnight and I'm watching the episodes of Dexter that I missed.  i.e. all of them.

So Far So Good

My sister (my baby sister) had a double mastectomy today.  She also had the plastic surgeon there to start that process.  I heard that she was doing well and may go home Wednesday.  I do wish I lived closer.  Her tests show that there was no cancer in her lymph nodes so she won't have to have chemo.  At least so far.  I had so many people praying for her today and evidently it helped a bit anyway.  No chemo is a blessing.  So that was my day because even though I was at work, all I could think of was her and what she was going through.  She's the baby, I'm the oldest...That is special.  So very special.  Thanks God.  Really

It was supposed to snow last night.  So much we'll be crippled.  Let me just say there isn't a flake anywhere.  I'm happy!!  I can get stuff and then it can snow all it wants tonight ..Just can't predict weather in East Tn.  Upper corner got slammed , just not here in the valley..

I'm confused etc.  I know I've been gone a while but good lord this is quite a change.  I'm not sure how much I like this , if at all but I guess I'm stuck with it.  GRRR.   Do you know that Christmas is in one week from today.

Am I ready?  no..Not even close.   Why is this thing double spacing. ?  Are you ready?  Don't say yes ok.  It will make me feel awful. 

It is supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow.  The last weekend before Christmas and when it snows in Tennessee...especially East Tennessee you don't go anywhere.. 

I've got two family members sick right now.  Siblings of mine.  One is going to need prayers on Monday.  Could you (anyone who reads this) say a prayer for my sister.  I'll keep you posted but I just wanted to ask.

I'm glad to be back and I hope I can gather some readers while I'm at it...

OK, so I've been gone forever. I'd like to say I'm back for every day but I'm back. I posted my last rabbit.rabbit I think. I programmed it to be there at the first of each month in memory of Hoss. He was such a wonderful blogger and quite a friend but I'm stopping at the end of this year. I miss Hoss a lot...
