Empty Nest

That son of mine....

I am not believing this.  That I am acknowledging in public (that no one reads) that my son was right and Zoot and I were wrong...There!! I said it.
When I moved into this house. One year ago.  Both of my children came and helped me.  There were more helpers but they came to help me move into my new first house.
We were organizing my bedroom and Zoot and I said to put the tall dresser in my closet.  It was a big closet and would make the bedroom look smaller.
Xzhibit kept insisting that we should go for the closet space and she and I insisted it be put into the closet.  So...he reluctantly put it there telling me I'd be sorry.....
One year later, I moved the tall dresser out into the bedroom and I'm enjoying the space in the closet.  Yep, that's what I did.  With a little help from Rosco
SO...son.  In front of everyone..  You were right.. the dresser belonged in the room and not the closet.   I still love you though!!!

Cookin' this weekend

Ok if you don't have anything to do Saturday afternoon, head down to Gainsville, FL to watch a true killing on a football field.  Right about the time the Florida/Tennessee game starts.  Florida is favored by 30 points. I would like to think our defense is better than that, and I'm pretty sure it is but if our QB continues to give the football away............there isn't much you can do. 
Now, don't get me wrong..I'm praying to the gods of football, and my best friend, who passed away this day 11 years ago, that we beat Florida and they're gonna have to help.  I think my friend Enza would absolutely LOVE Lane Kiffin so maybe she'll interfere from above and help him out.  Geeze he's gonna need it.
I'm getting better but I still  have occasional stomach issues.  I don't know if its the healing process or what.  I hope it is 'cause I sure don't want anything more to go wrong.  I sure would appreciate any input from other gall bladder recoverers out there. 
Rosco is asleep next to me on the couch.  We're watching ESPN. I think we're both tired but I don't know why.  He didn't get his big walk tonight because its raining.

Yeah Saturday...

Well I made it through this week.  Only 4 working days so we'll see how next full week goes.  Wed will be three weeks since my week from hell in the hospital.  I'm doing better but I kind of thought I should be a lot better now....I guess I thought I was invincible (sp) and could recover from anything. 
I did go out last night and got together with some friends.  I was home by 8:30 but I enjoyed myself immensely and was glad I did it.  I also got my big butt into Size 12 zipper jeans.  It was the first time I've worn non-elastic waste pants since the surgery and I haven't work a 12 in forever. 
If you ever have your gall bladder out....DO NOT EAT A SNICKERS  BAR!!!.  I will not go into all the details but you will be sorry.  I'm not sure if it was the chocolate or the peanuts or all of it but...........just don't.
I've started a pot of white chili.  Did the back yard w/ a weed eater until it ran out of power. and here I sit with Rosco right next to me waiting for today's UT game to start.  This is a very important game for UT.  See if we're really as good as we'd like to think.  Its on ESPN at 4 EST. 
Its a beautiful day here.  Its 79 right now, sun everywhere.  I've got all the doors and windows open (my family knows how happy that makes me!!!)
Have a nice weekend and as for tomorrow.......GO GIANTS  (Titans have already lost)

Last vacation day

Goodness it doesn't seem like it took very long.  Back to work tomorrow.  I think I'm doing ok but the tired....I can't seem to shake that.  I guess that's what happens when you get a tad older.  The burn on my back seems to be healing and that's good. I guess I should find a new heating pad.. Oh yeah, and the burn on my right hand, from the oven, is doing good too.  I just show's so to speak. 
I have noticed that it doesn't take that much to fill me up any more.  Of course that could be due to the water diet for nearly a week. 
Rosco is out sunning.  I think sometimes he thinks my house is cold so he tans for a while to warm up.
Ok, that's the exciting of my last vacation day.  I am going to post a recent picuture of Andyz that I have fallen in love with.  Of course its Miss Zoots picture but..............I am granny

This may be the last time we look this good.  UCLA next week and then Florida.  After that we ought to know more. 
Not feeling too good today.  Just a little "off".  Don't know why but it could be surgery a week ago...I guess I don't recuperate like I used to in younger days.  Rosco and I have slept most of the afternoon.  GOT to watch that Alabama/W.Va game tonight.  Right now Georgia is getting beaten.I'd rather not see that happen.  Always root for SEC unless they're playing us.....
Only a few days until NFL.....Can NOT wait for that!!!
