Takes so little....

Remember when I bought my house?  You know, a whole 2 months ago? Remember I stood firm on the house having a garage....remember?
Well, it was 29 this morning.  Right here in Tennessee in OCTOBER. As I pulled out of my garage I noticed every car not in a garage was covered with frost.  Heavy, thick frost....but NOT MY CAR.  I promised my car that it wouldn't ever be covered in ice again, if it was in my control and I patted the car on the dash and said "See, I told you...No ice".
That was one of the best effects of buying this particular house.  The garage!!!!

IT IS ONLY OCTOBER 27TH

And its supposed to snow (flurries) tonight.......

May I just say...

Tennessee may very well go ahead and win this game.  If that happens there is only one conclusion.  Alabama truly stinks.   I have NEVER seen a football team that is as bad as Tennessee.  Our defense is good but they get so tired because they're always on the field.  Out offense is just not spending any time on the field.  Alabama has given us TWO opportunities to score TD's.  I guess I shouldn't complains but two field goals will not beat Alabama...dammit.  Oh yeah,right now Alabama is within scoring distance AGAIN..Maxi and I will probably go to bed.  grrrrrr.  I'm sorry if Phil loses this job.  This is not Tennessee football............

Well, here we go..   I voted.  Not that I wasn't going to but I had no idea who the heck I was going to vote for.  I must say the I voted for the one that scared me the least and that's all I'm saying.   Oh.  it was sooo crowded I couldn't believe it.  I've always voted early and usually its not crowed or anything but I got there about 10:20 am and it was full and full of grumpy people too.  The only thing I can say it......just vote...

Under the weather

This da*n asthma is trying to kill me.  I've been coughing like I was upchucking a lung.  I've also been just plain feeling like crap.  I'm not trying for sympathy.  It could be a lot worse.  I went back to the DR today and have a stronger version of asthma meds.  Go back in 2 weeks and see if it'll work.  I'd lust love a few nights of good sleep. But I'm here but I haven't done anything exciting or even self improving in 2 weeks. 
oh yeah,  I also got a flu shot.  I've never had one, never had the flu but the Dr's office said I should really have one this year. 
I'd better NOT get sick from it...
Oh yeah.  It is only October...38 in the am should be outlawed

Had a ball

I had a little party last night.  The very first one I've had in 10 years.  I had a bunch of people over for Chili and we watched the UT/Georgia game.  It was wonderful.  Since the UT game was such a bust, what ended up happening was all the guys stayed in the house to watch UT get killed and all the women went outside and sat around the table talking , drinking wine etc and having a ball. 
You know my bar, that was to tall?  It works wonderfully as a stand up bar.  The guys stood around the bar drinking and eating and watching football.  I ran one of the little tv's outside to the patio and hooked it up to cable and we could watch the game tool.  We lit all the bug candles and it was a beautiful evening. 
Oh yeah and I was sure I had too much food and would be eating Chili for a year.  There was none left.  Zero.  2 Crock pots full of Chili.  I loved it that its gone. 
There will be no mention of the Vols.  Banned subject.

Its just asthma

Ok so I went to the Dr's today.  Had that test that will show whether you have asthma or not.  After nearly suffocating and my line suddenly dropped 20%, and they finally gave me the medicine to combat the attack they determined that it was asthma.  So now I'm on Advair and hopefully that will take care of it.  I'm going back in 2 weeks to make sure the medicine is the right strength etc.  So I'm fine..well with that one exception.  Here's my biggest hope....that the cough will drop away to nearly nothing.  The last two days have been pretty awful.
Tonight I feel like crap.  I'm not sure what to do but go to bed so I'm waiting for Maxi's last trip outside and then we're going to bed.
Oh  yeah, to mention the Chili party I'm having this Saturday, because you know, its supposed to be cold.......................Its' going to be 80 and humid as hell Saturday.  MMMMM Joy 

What a week

Well, I decided to invite friends over for Chili on Saturday. I'm nervous, I'm not used to "entertaining". I'm convinced it will be a huge failure and everyone will hate me. As a matter of fact only 2 people have even said whether they were coming or not. grrrr. Of course its going to be 80 Saturday. What an appropriate thing to serve in 80 degrees temp. I've already made it so we're stuck with it. Anyone got any ideas what to serve with it? Salad as a side? Appetizers? I'll be a wreck by Saturday.. and Just in case it didn't want this week to be boring I'm going to the Dr today. The Pulmonary dr to get the asthma test to see if that's what's causing this godawfulstinkingpia cough which has gotton worse in the past two days. I'm thrilled the Cat Scan turned out fine but I'm still coughing and Maxi is packing up. He's thinking of moving! He's started sleeping on the bed during the days now. I think that means he's decided this is home and if I'd shut up he'd be really comfy... I realized I hadn't posted in a while (I've been trying to get the house ready for guests... you know, first impressions). So here I am at lunch sending a message. Have a great day,...its raining like hell right now...

I'm just dreadful with titles and subjects aren't I?  I'm about as creative as an olive. 
We had a wonderful company golf tournament today.  For the first time in many years the inside sales people (i.e. me!!) went.  We only stayed to sign up the guests and eat lunch with them but it was a good break to the day and a lot of fun.
I'm watching "Survivor" right now.  There just isn't anyone this season who sparks my interest but its probably because there are so many of them
I also am looking forward to the 'debate" tonight but the Cubs are also playing at 9 and just in case you were wondering...........THE DA*N CUBS HAVE GOT TO WIN TONIGHT...or we can all go home.   ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
