Thanks goodess its Thursday. This has been a long week. I don't have much here except I was sleeping so well and the coffee isn't helping. Nervous stomach is just not good.
You know one thing I hate......Toe nails. Keeping them polished etc so you can wear sandles...This is one of those things I feel that we should not have to fret with. Yet I do. And did you know that the damn toes and damn fingers should match? Match my butt!!!. I figure if they're not screaming at each other, or giving me a headache....they're good to go..
Tonight is Pirate Master...Has anyone been watching that show? I have, and lets just say if they pull it now, its okay with me. Mercifully everyone......NEXT THURSDAY IS BIG BROTHER!!!!!! whhoooooooo
From what lab rat did Ann Coulter come from? Obviously the one with rabies......

I've not been so good about posting lately have I? quiet...everyone has slow spells and I am in one big time. I'm so tired right now and I don't have a clue why. Hormones? Heat? god knows what but I was asleep about 7:30 last night. If it hadn't been so unfair for Maxi, we'd have actually gone to bed rather than doze on the couch. Go figure.
The issue about whether I can transfer to another city should be answered on Friday, or at least the ball will be back in my hands...That probably isn't helping me sleep either...Oh yeah, and boy is my tummy not doing well with all of this!!! If there is anything "off" in my life, the first place to let me know it my tummy, just in case I don't think something is an issue. It's hard to work when you have "issues", if ya know what I mean.
I haven't put any of my pictures up yet but I did take a lot of them. I'll try tonight when I get home from work.
Oh yeah, look at this......
My coffee maker broke last week. Now lets all understand this. I have to have coffee first thing in the morning. Right after I test the blood and let Maxi in and before I do anything else it has to be COFFEE......Isn't that pretty? i love it, it works and makes me a very happy person. Have a loverly day everyone. Heres one more picture that I took of Nikki with my phone...
We made that chair "hers" since it has no openings in it. She thought she was the Queen!! What a wonderful, wonderful weekend............ Cubs won last night ...Just saying

I have this neighbor. She's been there for quite a while and is nice enough but....if she gets to yapping....well, you're stuck. She "dropped" by one time when I was cleaning out all of the kitchen cabinets. Left 2-1/2 hrs later. So..I'm very seldom home on Friday night. We have some friends who get together for a few drinks and munchies on Friday. Usually home by 9 at the latest but last night. with Zoot coming into town I had to clean up but more importantly "child proof" as much as I could. So here I am, with the vacuum cleaner standing up right inside of the front door. Swiffer mopping things everywhere, rugs out on the patio, Pledge and rags everywhere and I'm sweating like a pig...Doorbell rings and may god forgive me she had a cup of coffee with her!!!!
She comes in, note: I did not ask her to sit down and there was stuff in every chair so she couldn't......and stand there leans up against the wall and asks me if I want an Iris bulb or two, she's cleaning out her patio........
Well, being nice (quit: sometimes I am rather nice) I didn't tell her I hate Iris's and I'm not a flower person, which I'm not, I told her about the possibility of moving..but thanks!! and I grabbed for the door to let her out... ONE F'ING HOUR LATER when my mercifully spoiled dog realized he wasn't the center of attention and started growling at her she finally left...I promply grilled Maxi a rib eye to thank him
On yeah, an on the way out she said and I quote" My life has turned into a soap opera. There is so much going on now....that man I married (she's now divorced) you just wont believe it" OMG I was terrified she'd start and god only knows how long she'd have stayed. So, as I was thinking of what I could gag her with if she stayed she said " I'll come over one night and bring coffee and we'll talk"...........

I must say, the lovely rain the other night....did nothing much. When you're down 11" it takes more than a drizzle for a few hours to do any good but its supposed to rain again tonight. I'd really rather it not do that tonight. My daughter is coming in tonight and I just would rather it not be raining for her trip. Once she gets here ....let her rip.
I watched this weeks episode of 'Top Chef" last night. I love that show. Although there are personalities with differences it has little to do with who goes home. If you cook lousy....see 'ya. I was disappointed in the Chef that went home last night. I liked her but she obviously had a different ideas of "high end barbecue" than anyone else did. They had a guest "judge" last night who was harder on them than any of the others..."so you think you can cook" type.
Greenberg on ESPN is taking today off. The "milking the cow" just about did him in and he's not there today........What a hoot!!!!
Pat Summitt was taken to the hospital yesterday. She fainted. Send her some good wishes please. Lets face it. She's is not the fainting kind....
Ok, off to work....My coffee maker seems to be busted....Dammit. I MUST have coffee in the morning so...I'll get one tonight after all....I'm also having company this weekend too and am besides myself with excitement!!!!
Happy Friday everyone..

Still such a bore, that's me. My daughter and her kids are coming in this weekend and I can NOT wait to see them again.
OMG...Just turned TV on and Mike Greenberg (ESPN2) is actually going to milk a cow today on his show....on live tv. he's dressed up as a farmer and looks like an idiot. I do not think he has ever been near a cow......ever....
Sammy Sosa hit home run 600 last night....Against the Cubbies. (Oh yeah, Cubs lost) Sammy is only the 6th person to have hit 600 home runs. Hall of Fame? What do you think? I really don't care. He left the Cubs and he was no longer in my favor but....he did hit the damn things and so, unless they don't put Barry or McGuire in....no Sammy. Oh yeah,he looks awful now. Getting off whatever he was taking took a lot from him....
Have a great day folks.........

I'm so worried about my baby girl. She's got a dr's appt today at 1pm Central time and she's confused about the status of her pregnancy. I just read her post and it makes me want to cry.
So say a prayer for her will you. ? If you want to visit her its: www.misszoot.com
I'm scared for her and heartbroken for her too. Sometimes this mother stuff just plain hurts...

I don't really have anything. I took care of some "business" stuff last night and went to bed...Now I'm awake and its still boring. Summertime is a hard time to blog interesting stuff. No one is around and if they are they're ticked off because they're not on vacation.
So...I'm just going to take my boring self to work. My daughter has a Dr's appt this afternoon...wish her the best please.......
Mercifully its supposed to rain today...we sure need it here and badly....
Have a great day everyone

Question: I saw an Ethanol pump at the gas station the other day. Can it be used in say...My Car? I don't know and so I'm asking if any of you know. I'd do anything to bring down the profits the gas companies are making...I'll give up corn..........
Sorry Tiger....I was pulling for you the whole time or Jim Furyk. Cabrera won and he seems to be nice enough, just not who I was hoping would win..Oh yeah, and doesn't he (Tiger) look fantastic....no a bit of body fat on that man and that red shirt.....mmmmm
Sorry a$$ Cubs. 'Nuff said about that!!!!
What is it when, on a weekend, you don't sleep worth a lick either Fri night and Sat night...and then, you sleep Sunday night and promptly renders you useless on Monday. That's where I am today so.....off I go
Have a great day and here's a picture of the Cardinal that hangs around outside my apartment...I've been trying to get him forever and its through the screen door but it's a picture

So sorry LeBron. At least you made the playoffs more interesting...(notice I didn't say "finals") My son was at that game last night which was the only reason I had it on past the first few minutes. Why did I think I'd find him in that place!!!! Nothing against the Spurs but, combined, they have the personality of an aardvark. Its not that I don't like them, they're just dull as all get out..Congrats to their fans...
An observation on a show or two. Hell's Kitchen may have made a mistake or Top Chef is smart and this is why. They're both on now. Here's the difference. Top Chef on Bravo and Next Food Network Stars are "reality" show about people cooking for a chance to win. Keep in mind they have to cook well, very well to even think that they'll go anywhere in the competition. I love both of these shows. You can even find out some cooking clues periodically but they're good shows, easy to watch and fun....Hell's Kitchen is the same premise. You cook, you win but.....You have to deal with Gordon Ramsey screaming his fool head off all the time or so it seems. It's rather a rought hour of TV. Now, all of that is good if that's what you want to see, and I may be wrong but I think this is the first time they'ev all been on at that same time. You see, I watched the taped version of Top Chef last night and had watched Hell's Kitchen the night before.
If I had to pick Top Chef or Hells Kitchen, I'd pick Top Chef...Good news is...I don't have to pick, I can watch both and enjoy both. In my opinion, Top Chef is a much better "reality" cookiing show. Oh yeah, Food Network's "Next Star....." is also very good..Sunday's at 9pm on the Food Channel..
Ok, enough of that Epistle....Happy Friday......please rain lord, we so need it.. I don't care if it is the weekend. We are between 11-18 inches low on rain........

Gee...if you've just been arrested for drunk driving how in the hell can you make it worse? I got it, get your "front handcuffed hands" on the chief's gun and f'ing kill him....f'ing idiot....
Good morning folks, above is the first thing that popped up on the news (local) this morning. No, it wasn't here it was in Kentucky..
The U.S.Open begins today. I wish I would take these days off so I could watch this. I love watching "Major" tournaments. From what I've heard by "analysts" is that this could be won by a score of +5. I really don't like it when they make the course so difficult it totally makes the best golfers in the world look like idiots. I like it tricky but not so hard everyone looks bad....but its a major and I wlll watch!!
Ok, help me here. My legs have been cramping terribly the past few night. I take calcium and potassium but last night both calf's at the same damn time cramped up something awful....brought me up and hollering ..had the worst time even getting out of bed and now.....they still hurt. What am I not doing or doing to make this happen folks? Any ideas....Feedback is welcome!! or we can trade legs...
Sun is coming up out the window. Off to work. Game four is tonight. Predictions? oh yeah, and the Cubs won last night.
Happy Thursday/DBF

So much can happen in one day. Now, some of it you might not care about but that doesn't mean I don't ....hence...
Dale Earnhardt Jr is going to be driving for Hendricks Motor Sports!!! Holy crap, Him, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, and either Casey Mears or Kyle Bush. What a heck of a team. I've heard that he's replacing Bush but we'll see about that. There's a press conference today at 11 am EST for the announcement..I really, really didn't think he'd end up there. I was pulling for RCR. How much more of racing can Hendricks own any way?
Cleveland lost. That's too bad, I was hoping they would at least make an impression. Well, they did....They can't compete with the Spurs. Maybe next year
No hitter in baseball last night. The Detroit Tigers Verlander pitched a "no hitter" last night against the Brewers.
Oh yeah, the Cubs lost.
We really need some rain here in Tennessee. I don't usually wish for rain, but it is soooo dry right now its scary. Everyone keeps talking about the 4th and fireworks but they may ban the fireworks if we don't get a soaking, and soon. Alabama has already banned them.

Well, "Hells Kitchen" wasn't quite as bad as I though last nigh. Maybe he's toning down a bit this year. What gets me is the contestants whining about him (Ramsey) and his temper. Where the heck were these people the past two years? That's what the heck he's known for...Screaming ,yelling and swearing if things aren't going right. HEY Folks....Nuttin goes right on this show. If it just seems like it is going right.....I promise, its probably not so quit whining about him screaming ets. Its the whole reason anyone watches.
If you want to learn some cooking stuff, watch Food Network Star or Top Chef. You might get a little help there but actually, just watch Food TV or go to "All Recipe".com. I must say I have joined a vegetarian site and they send me receipes. I don't think this is going to go too well simply because yesterday's recipe "Lima bean hummus"....Just didn't tickle my fancy. Lima beans are the one veggie that unless its hidden in a very strong veggie soup, I will NOT even consider eating. And I'd better not see on too close to me .....so, let see what tomorrow bring.
Have a great day, time to get going for work.

Mornin everyone. Did you like the Soprano's ending? I didn't watch, never have but I'm listening to the two dudes on the radio argue about whether they liked/disliked it.
No, last night I watched "Food Network Star". I love that show. It's really one of the best "contestant/reality" shows there are. They even sent home the one I wanted to go home too. There are still too many contestants for me to remember all of their names. I know I like Adrian and Rory (so far), the others names totally escape me for now..Of course, I then watched the Cubs closer blow the save and lose the game..........damn Dempster..
Tonight is "Hells Kitchen". I still haven't decided whether I'll keep on watching it. I'm really kind of sick of his screaming. I wish they could cut a balance of some sort..Although I must say, telling one of the contestants that what he was cooking tasted like "gnats piss" was rather funny if you try to imagine how he knows!!!
Ok..off to work. I'm feeling better than I was last week at this time so I guess I'd better act it...Have a great day everyone

Subject: The Wager
Homer walked into a sports bar around 9:58 PM. He
sat down next to this blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV. The 10:00
news was on. The news crew was covering the story of a man on a ledge of a
large building preparing to jump.
The blonde looked at Homer and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"
Homer says, "You know, I bet he'll jump."
The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't."
Homer placed $20 on the bar and said, "You're on!"
Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death.
The blonde was very upset and handed her $20 to Homer, saying, "Fair's
fair. Here's your money."
Homer replied, "I can't take your money. I saw this earlier on the < /SPAN> 5
o'clock news and knew he would jump."
The blonde replied, "I did too, but I didn't think he'd do it again."
(Homer took the money.)

Thank goodness. The first week back from vacation is always difficult and believe me this was no exception. I may not get out of bed all weekend. Between work and my stomach this was a difficult week at best.
Oh yeah....Cubs won last night.. Cleveland didn't.
Did you watch the Pirate show last night? I think it s*cks, maybe. There was a show on one of the other stations about famous people driving Nascar cars. I did tape it, I'll let you know what it was like ....Big Brother is looking good from here. Top Chef too.....although the preview of session three cooks is a bit scary.
I'm not sure I can put up with Gordon Ramsey another year. All of his screaming and cursing etc it getting on my nerves. Anyone else having trouble with him this year?
Off to work...They're talking on the TV about some godawful storms that are on the way around 5 pm today. its going to be 90 today which will only make it worse. I hate to think of Maxi here, alone, with all hell going on outside. Maybe it'll hold off until I at least get home or maybe it'll just skip us.
Have a great Friday everyone....

Sleeping was so wonderful. I wish I could just continue but.....this little issue of bills etc so here I am, up.
Its supposed to go up to over 90 today..90. Times like this I just hate summer. 90 is just way too hot for me to enjoy.
Ducks won the Stanley Cup last night.....Not a big fan of hockey here but "Sage Steel" just announced it on TV......Whoopie....."Sage Steel"....do you really think that's her real name. If so, her parents should be locked up....
I want a new car. Just saying. Don't need one, just want one. With a GPS system in it.. Of course maybe I could just get a GPS system....A lot cheaper.
Two mornings in a row that the Blood Sugar is where it should be. Thanks for the meds Doc..
Lady Vols softball team lost the championship last night. I hate to say it but they played like the Cubs....Oh yeah, they won yesterday...The Cubs won yesterday afternoon....Play the Braves this weekend. isch.
Tonight is the Pirate Master show. Anyone going to watch? I watched last Thursday and wasn't impressed did anyone else watch? If so what did you think. It seems there's a lot of people on that show to really dislike and it seems to me that its difficult to have a hit of a show with a bunch of people who aren't likable...Anxious to hear anyone else's opinion on the show...
Ok, off to getting ready to work........Have a great Thursday everyone

You know, the Dr gave me a new prescription for my stomach. It has just about killed me.. The first issue is it was over 100.00 with insurance as opposed to my diabetes meds which were .99c....Tummy is a bit better this morning but I didn't take the meds last night. Shouldn't have to have pain all day long. It's a bit better this morning so I'm not going to take the meds yet. I'll wait until the tummy is all better and try again just in case I picked up a bug or something the first day I tried the meds....I hate this.
I forgot to go get at 9V battery. I was praying last night that we wouldn't have a storm. I've got to get one or more because its going up into the 90's for about the next week and that usually breeds storms.
Did anyone watch "The next food network star"? I watched part two last night. I love the show but I really, really dislike Bobby Flay. Thank goodness that this may be the only episode he's in. There's a few on next Sunday. ie Paula and the little Italian cook girl. I can't remember her name but I do like her..
Lady Vols Softball team lost last night. They can still win tonight. If they win tonight they're the national champs....
Cubs lost..........
Go LeBron.........
Could they let Billy Donovan got to Portland? The further away the better for the SEC..
Off to work everyone. Have a great day

Good god we had some storms last night. The power went out around 7:30 pm. No problem you see...I was prepared. I always have candles and batteries etc. It was about the same time my stomach decided to misbehave. How uncomfortable can you be with no AC and no power and a dog who thinks the world is ending....Well, you can then stub your previously broken toe and call the dog everything but a dog...or his mother because he's the reason for the stub............Oh yeah, a lap top that has power is fine...but useless if the cable is also down...i.e. no internet to find out what the hell is going on. But. I have a weather radio. It was a gift from my son a few years ago. I find it, pull it out, and open it up. 9V battery. GUESS WHAT THE ONLY F"ING BATTERY I DON"T HAVE IS????? Exactly. The power came back on just in time for "Hells Kitchen"....Not too bad.
Stomach is still acting up but I must go to work. Especially since I was on vacation last week.
Observations:
Orlando Magic is letting Billy Donovan off easy.
Lady Vols Softball team won last night
Cubs won

Well, my vacation is over. It was nice, long but not long enough. Are they ever? It was wonderful. I got so much "cleaning out" after living here for 10 years. You know that "instructions" when you buy something. The one's that say "keep the box in case you need to return"..........10 years worth of that is an enormous amount of trash. I swear I have every single box that I bought something in OOPS. Had...Now the trash dude's need to take it. I've slice them up into smaller pieces. So there is a big pile out there (all in plastic bags) for them to come and get. And get this.....NOPEY.. Not done, just decided I probably shouldn't put every single thing out there. My pack-rat days need to be over don't ya think? There's two trash cans and 10 lawn and leaf bags out there ..Since we have to pay for trash to be picked up....they're going to earn it this week...
BTW. There was this little incident while I was visiting my daughter.. We were going into a store one morning and the "alarm" in the store went off. Zoot says..."its me and Lilz" we do it all the time. So I go on in. We shop and it goes off on the way out. No problem...A little later we went to Barnes & Nobel. Set off the alarm on the way in...Kind of announce to them that we set it off and will probably do it on the way out. As Zoot was on the way into the section for music, she went through the other "alarms" and it didn't go off. Not a sound. "Mom" come here. Its got to be you its not me so here I go and sure enough....sirens etc. Folks we tried everything and it was my purse (I had switched early that day). We took out everything it could be and the little sob kept setting it off. We never did find out what it was and I warned the girl at the "exit" register and the purse is sitting on the floor in my room never to be used again. No Idea at all as to what it was and not brave enough to carry it...Anyone have any ideas what it might be? There is nothing in that damn purse oh yeah, threre are some stores it doesn't set off...........EEEEKKK. And I liked it too..
Have a happy Monday...............Later folks

Since I can't really count the weekend as vacation, this is my last day. And I've been awake since 4:30am. I hate that. I don't know why but awake I am. Maxi on the other hand. Isn't. I've cleaned out two major closest and guess what? I'm a pack rat. A real pack rat. I've got two trans cans, one is 45 gallon, the other is 95 and they're full. And there are 5 huge backs on the patio for me to carry out on Sunday. And. I'm NOT done. I haven't even gotton to the guest bedroom which I have used as a catch all for the past year. That is today except I want to go to sleep..
Did you watch the Pirate Master last night? I did. I'm reserving judgment on it. I did care who got booted off and glad about who did but I'm not seeing this as good yet. There isn't any competition so it may work. Let me know what you think?
Go LeBron. Nice game last night. Dammit he's good.
Ok, I'm going to opt for a little nap.. Later
