Happy Hump Day

Ok, so what the hell is going on..I didn't sleep worth a da*n last night.  Tossed and turned and wanted to scream when the alarm went off.  It's freezing in here.  Had to leave the water dripping etc last night.  It's 17 here now and the forecast is kind of crappy.  We're supposed to get maybe 3 inches of snow beginning overnight tonight.  You have no idea how much 3 inches of snow will shut this place down.  Literally.  It's so darned hilly that moving around isn't so easy at all.   I know I sound like a baby/whiner bit if there is ice on the roads......I won't be.  When we went on "time clocks" I stopped thinking I'd come to work no matter what.  I used to think that if I had tried to get into work and had an accident that we'd be taken care of ....Now..not so much so I'm not so eager to try.  Generally the roads around here aren't too bad for more than a day or so so I'd try to get there as soon as possible, but not when its dangerous.
Of course this crap isn't supposed to start until we actually get to work.  Great, huh...Cause then you have to go home...
I think I'd better get ready to work.  You know, like check out the new haircut, with a prayer.

BETTER....

Nothing exciting except today was better than yesterday.  That's always great when the next day is better than the last one.  I wish I wasn't born in January.  At my age, its not enough to be a wonderful month.  Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with every single birthday I'm lucky enough to have it just doesn't make a depressing, annoying month that great. 
I got my hair cut today.  What do you do if you're pretty sure its a sucky hair cut.  Problem being that its a friend of mine.  Been a friend for years and I do pay her for the cuts.  She has her own shop.  I though the last cut being bad was just a bad day but today.....I keep telling myself that it's got all goo etc in it and it may look a lot better in the am..Pray for me friends.....please....
We're supposed to have rain, sleet, snow and ice Thursday and Friday.  Anyone wanna

Bad, Sad Day

Today wasn't too good.  You know, one of those days that a certain situation that seems to be getting better, drops like a bomb.  I hate that and that's what today was like only worse......That's all the details I'll share but just tell me to shut up and hang in there...
The other bad, sad thing is Barbaro.  How many people wre heartbroken when this poor horse shattered its leg.  I thought he was doing fine until a few days ago and they had to put him down this morning.  That poor animal went through all that hell, and for what?  At least now he's not having to deal with the pain any more.  God bless Barbaro...you can rest now

It's f'ing freezing here this morning.  It's 12....12 for god sakes.  and the dude on TV keeps saying "It'll make Spring feel so much better"...idiot.  I hope my little car can handle this ...
Ok folks, its SuperBowl week and I am so very excited. Superbowl week is wonderful and sad.  Sad because its the end of the football season.  Wonderful because, it just is.  And when you're rooting for one team specifically it's fantastic. 
Tiger Woods played is first tournament of the year yesterday.  And while no one was looking (yeah, right) he came from behind and just won the damn thing. It was fantastic...But it wasn't football..
One of my most favorite movies is "Apollo 13".  I've seen that thing at least 15 times.  I've always figured that a movie that can make me cry at the end, when I lived through it and remembered it, was pretty damn good, don't ya think?  Anyway, it was a CD set of two and it had the "making of Apollo 13" and all other kinds of extras and it was fascinating.  Since there wasn't anything else on TV last night I made sure I watched that and wasn't sorry. Oh yeah, I didn't watch the movie again.  It was getting late..
Speaking of getting late.  I need to get ready for work.  My girlfriend from the "North" end of town emailed me last night and said the ground was covered with snow and it was still snowing.   Didn't have a flake here...So, I have no idea what its like between here and work................Have a good one folks...

It's cold dammit.  But its supposed to get better today an tomorrow and then.......snow Sat. night into Sunday.  Go figure.  Its supposed to be 57 on Sat afternoon. mmm Living in Tennessee is quite an experience...
There really isn't much going on in my daily life today.  Or I'm too cold to think of it.  This weekend is going to stink as far as sports.  There is NO football this weekend.  NONE. dammit.  The Super Bowl is next weekend so.....For a thrill this weekend, I'll take on a couple of chores to keep busy and to work towards spring cleaning. Sounds like fun doesn't it...Wanna come and help?   Didn't think so..
I hate to say this but Federer (sp) is the  best athlete in the world.  He may even be ahead of Tiger.  What he did yesterday to Roddick......and, since I'm not even sure I've spelled either one of the names right, I'm not a big tennis fan but when you listen to ESPN radio some stuff just sinks in.  The only thing he has to do is win the French Open.  I don't think he's ever done that.  Kinda like Peyton and the "big one"....

God I need a new wireless mouse for this PC.   If I didn't need it I'd throw it out the door.  Son will vouch for the fact that it stinks, I just keep forgetting.  I only use this computer in the mornings the rest of the time its me and the laptop.  I just want everything I buy to last forever...
Its cold.  and folks, its getting colder.  Where the hell are the 70's from a few weeks ago. 21.....Today's high....31....crap.
I'm planning on starting a "badge" in the column on the left of the Project 365 pictures.  For now, I'll just use the one that's there.  I had some issues last night about the picture but posted it anyway.  I think I'll enjoy this, playing with the camera (i.e. reading the book and trying different things) but like I said, some of the pictures may be of the phone book!!
I re-watched Heroes again last night and I'm still confused.  I should have saved the last episode from before the holidays and re watched it before it started up again.  I'm not giving up on it at all but I'll probably be confused for a while.  Do you like Nikki?  She gets on my nerves.  I don't know why, but the TV Guide says someone is going to die (didn't one already die) at the end of this season and if it Nikki that will be fine with me.
Why the hell was Criminal Minds NOT a re-run last week but is a re-run this week?  That is ticking me off too....really.  Are they saving the "new" episodes for when "Lost" comes on?  Could be but you see I don't watch "Lost" and I don't want to watch the darn re-runs all the time dammit....Just dammit.
Off to work.  Have a good day and I haven't studied the weather nationwide but......A good deal of us on the East coast are going to be quite cold...............brrrrrrrrr

The Day after...so to speak

I am so not a party animal any more.  I tried last night.  Didn't do so well, was home and ready for bed at 8...Birthdays mid-week tend to fall by the wayside as far as partying.  I enjoyed being out but I was just plain tired.  (Happens with age you know)
Today is Belly Laugh Day.  Set your clock for 1:24pm and stop what you're doing and let out a big belly laugh.  (Let me know how that went folks, especially at work)
Last night I watched last weeks "Criminal Minds".  OMG it was fantastic!!!. If anyone saw it, can you let me know the very end? Did it end with Crazy Jane and the evil one walking off or did my DVR cut off?  This episode was pre-empted last Wednesday here and on at 3:30 am so I had to tape it, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was a minute or two cut off..
One message for the Dallas Cowboys........Leave Jeff Fisher ALONE dammit!! You can NOT have him.  He's ALL OURS and rightfully so.  We adore love Jeff Fisher and are going to keep him here.. We lust after admire him more than we can say and have no urge to let anyone else do the same......SO BACK OFF!!!

Wow, I got home today and have tons of Happy Birthday wishes.  Thank you all so very much.  You know, I am truly blessed.  I have the two most wonderful children in this world and at times like this I see that I have some pretty wonderful friends too.  Thank you all again for a happy birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to ME....

Today is my birthday.  And I'm happy about it.  Those of you who know me know having a birthday every year is a real treat and so I'm going to celebrate again this year, even if its just me...It's ok that way too.  First thing is a picture of my birthday flowers.  They came to me at work yesterday right as I was walking out the door to take Maxi to the vet.  But they sure are beautiful.  They'll also be day three of my Project 365 project too. 

Beautiful aren't they? I can't wait to get to work and see them again..Happy Birthday to me!!! My sister sent me a loverly card with a Gift card in it.  That will help immensely since Maxi was just a bit expensive yesterday.  But he's better already so its money well spent for sure. We both slept much better last night and hated getting up this morning.  I watched "Heroes" last night.  I had a hard time staying awake so I guess I'll watch it again tonight before I say anything about it.  The end kind of confused me.. Well, off to work on my birthday...Have a great Tuesday everyone...Later

Happy Monday.  I try with that every Monday sometimes it works and sometimes,not so much...And since I stayed up to watch that fantastic football game last night.  it's "not so much" Monday...........
So good ol' Peyton goes to the Super Bowl.  I'm so darned happy for him and am so darned going to pull for him.  I went from thinking he was the worst excuse for a Quarterback last night to.....thinking he was the best.  Of course I remember thinking things like that when he played for UT.  That look on his face last night, when he knew they had won......fantastic. He really is a good guy. 
TONIGHT!!!  HEROES is back......I am so darned excited about this show finally coming back on with no re-runs....How great is that.  Bringing back meaning to Monday...According to the TV Guide there's going to be all kinds of changes etc.I can not wait......
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I'm sorry for the fans of the Saints and Patriots and so terribly happy for the Colts and Bears fans

Championship Sunday

First, and most importantly I must send "Happy Birthday" wishes to my wonderful grandson.  I probably won't get to talk to him today but I want him to know I'm thinking about him and am constantly amazed at what a wonderful guy he is and I miss him a lot.
I went to a party last night. A birthday party for a great friend.  He and his wife threw the party to celebrate...get this...His 75th birthday.  When I left, he was still partying.  Now, see...that's the only way I want to be alive at 75...Alive and kicking.. It was such a great party..
Oh yeah, and I felt like I deserved a little pampering myself.  So, I took myself to the "Salon" and had my nails done.  Acrylic.  I'm hoping that it will break me of this bad habit I've developed lately of biting my nails. I don't know why I started that but I'm having a dreadful time stopping so I have beautiful nails for now anyway.  You wouldn't believe the "advice" I keep getting on this particular "treatment".  Had me terrified last night that if I ever go to the wrong person my fingers will fall off.  eeekkk.. 
Ok, its getting close to football time.  After today we'll know who goes to the Super Bowl and I am sooo excited.  I'm pulling for the Colts.....and the Bears.

Oh yeah, this has been a long week for sure.  I know what some of the issue is....this is only the 2nd week in a long time that we've worked 5 straight days.  I discovered I really liked those 4 day weeks   A lot....
They're saying on the news that Sunday day time will bring freezing rain, sleet and ice.  And it will continue until sometime Monday.  Let me just say this.  I DON'T DO ICE.  I go nowhere, I do nothing and I pray the power stays on.  I'm supposed to go to a birthday party Sat night but..............if there is anything falling out of the heavens I'll pass.  Its a long drive and I'm not sure of the directions........Yes I could hitch a ride with someone else but what makes anyone think I'd feel safer with someone else driving?  PUHLEASE....
All I can say to all of you in the "middle" of this county.  You know who you are...Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri..........My thoughts and prayers are with you, especially now that round two is coming your way.

Well, its 34 degrees this morning.  I don't think its getting much warmer but that's ok.  There's no rain, snow, sleet etc here in town.  I think there is some a little south of us but not here...They're still talking about Sunday night into Monday.  We'll see...
I'm going to bi*ch....Last night, 9pm...Criminal Minds.  My favorite TV show ever.  ever...I love it....No rerun last night.  NONE...I was so excited.  Couldn't wait....Oh what???? You people are doing what?  Pre empting Criminal Minds for a BASKETBALL GAME...(that we lost?)  What in the hell,?  They've got a "sister" station that had a bunch of reruns on it...Why not put the BB game on that?  And you know what?  They think putting it on at 3AM is fine.  Well, know what? Not everyone in the world has TIVO, DVR recorder or VCR thingy's.  I must say this sucks.  And... UT Lost...grrrrrrr.  CBS...Stop preempting Criminal Minds for a Basketball game!!!!!
I'm going to start the Project 365.  I had thought it had to be 365 picture of me but it doesn't.  That is a good thing.  So, probably starting this weekend or something, I'm going to do it. I'll probably do what Deb did and have a Flickr set just for them and maybe even to the badge thing of the pictures. (thanks for that too Deb).

Didn't dream about smokes last night. That's good, I was afraid I should start...heheh. 
Am I an idiot,, tv addict who doesn't know what she's doing.  I have never seen an episode of 24..Not one..
I've never seen an episode of "American Idol"..Not one. The worst thing might be that I've never had the  urge to even see these shows.  I've stopped watching "Lost" and although I'm thrilled "Heroes" is coming back, and soon.  I don't think  I'd miss "Jericho".  I fear I'm a socially inept idiot as far as TV goes.  Putting TV aside, I have NEVER seen a "Godfather"movie.........none...but go figure..I love "Jaws" and "Apollo 13".  I've watched both of them more than a regular person should.  How about you?  I'd be interested in knowing there are more people out there like me and just don't "fess up" to it..
Weather update:  I don't know if I've ever told you about snowstorms here in East Tennessee but...If it heads up from the Gulf on I-75 in our directions...It's going to happen, or at least has better chances of inflicting snow on us.  Well, the local weatherman just reported that that exact happenstance will occur Monday.  None of us is excited about that.  The last time they started forecasting snow this far in advance.....the Blizzard of 1993 and that was awful.  Just awful.  Grrr. 
Its 28 degrees here folks.  On this hump day...Winter has arrived for at least 1 week..

Such a sad day

To anyone who has been a Nascar fan for any amount of time, Benny's passing is a very sad thing.  We didn't know he was sick until last summer.  He was the first announcer I associated with Nascar. He was doing the first race I ever saw.  Daytona 500.  He was wonderful and I became very fond of him over the years.  I remember the day Dale Earnhardt died. He was my Nascar hero too.  Heck, I belonged to his fan club.  That day, I kept looking for Benny somewhere on TV so I could hear what he said.  Yes, Benny Parson's passing is a very sad day....Godspeed Benny, Dale's waiting for you..

Tuesday...and winter

Well, if I'm to believe the weatherman its 56 now and that's today's high. So what the hell do you wear to work for this weather any way.?  This time of year, which usually occurs in November/December just plain confuses the heck out of me.  It's supposed to be rainy and possibly snowy today but beautifully cold tomorrow. 
I'm going to have to put the heat on today for the first time in over a week.  I'm not complaining at all I just think its funny that I'm saying this in January.
What causes odd dreams? Last night, I dreamed that I started smoking again.  That I had the worst nicotine fit in years and lit one up.  Oh boy, it tasted good too...Then I dreamed about my mom, and trying to hide from her that I was smoking.  Well, Mom's been dead since 1992.  Then one of the salesmen who used to work for our company bought me a pack and told me i could smoke it and then never smoke again.  Besides the fact that I wanted a cigarette, where the hell did all that come from!!  Don't ask how well I slept last night.  Just forget that
Maxi doesn't like this laptop.  I'm on the couch and he's looking at me like I'm Benedict Arnold.  See, he's on the floor next to the PC, which is usually where I post in the morning, and I'm across the room on the couch. He doesn't understand and he sure as hell doesn't like it.

Trying again

I posted early this morning.  Sitting in my bed with my cup of coffee and Maxi next to me. I put a picture at the end and hit save.  So I go to the main page to see how it looks and low and behold every bit of it, the whole blog, is aligned to the left.  Nothing in the middle and nothing in the right side.  I looked at the HTML to see if there was a command I had mistakenly done and couldn't find anything.  So, I deleted the post.  Still didn't fix it..Seems that Typepad had shut down or something and when they came back up...Surprise!!! So if anyone dropped by and saw that, it should all be fixed now....Thank goodness.
Right now its 69 degrees here.  There is a fantastic breeze and if it would stay like this forever I would be very very happy. 
Well, I'm watching football with my doggie and plan on not being terribly productive this fine day.  Winter is on the way, or so they say, so enjoying today is a must....Happy Sunday everyone

SLOWLY BUT SURELY

I'm slowly but sometimes surely getting this jist of this thing here..computer..as in laptop. It's not so much the programs etc its the little thingy in place of the mouse.  I'm having just a bit of trouble finding my cursor etc.  Just saying.  I do love it though.  I took it to work yesterday and it had a good time.  I did too because.....I got my little car worked on.  I now have air conditioning (which came in handy today) and got it all tuned up etc.  It and I went out this morning and had a good time too.
I bought my dog a bed.  See, its really going to get cold and he stays on the floor a lot so I thought a bed would be a good thing, you know, to kind of get him up off the floor.  HE WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT..The little shit.  I guess I'll keep it with those damn puppy steps I bought him the he also refuses to use.  If he'd use them, getting up on the couch wouldn't be such an issue for his sore muscles. 
Oh joy, Peyton Manning just threw the football to someone on the sidelines.  grrr.. 6-3 Colts right now but its not looking too good for him..oops he just threw an interception.  I really really really really dislike the Ravens.  Really...really....damn
I've transferred some of my funny pics from the old pc to the laptop. Like I said, I'm making progress.... see?

It's Friday...That's really all that needs to be said about this here day...yep.. Friday.  Glad I don't live in the St.Louis area etc.  I believer they're expecting an ice storm today.  Of course its heading our way but we're expecting just rain.  It's going to be way to warm. I think its going to be winter again next week but this weekend is going to be all in the 60's.  Heck, no wonder everyone is so da*m sick.  Whatever you put on in the morning........wrong for later in the day..
I'm watching live at Chicago this morning and the football game is supposed to be dead in the middle of a godawful snowstorm.  I love watching football in the snow so...I'll be glued to that one.  Plus I do like the Bears .  They're the early game on Sunday. 
Here's who I'm pulling for.  Sat early game:  Colts (don't feel to confident on this one)  Sat late game:  New Orleans....Sunday Early game:  Bears   Sunday late game San Diego.   Now, those are who I'm pulling for there's no telling who'll win.  The one I"m passionate about is the Colts/Ravens game.  Colts big time on this one.  I really really hate the Ravens.......
Ok.  Got to take the car to "Mr Cool" to get it worked on today.  Say a prayer folks that it doesn't cost a fortune.....

Oh yeah, Day Before Friday.  That makes today very nice.  Did you watch "W" last night?  Why does that man irritated the socks off of me?  I mean, there was a time I liked him. Heck, I voted for him but in the past year at least he's slipped so darn fast on my "Like" list that the mere thought of him annoys me, and last night didn't help a bit.  That's all I'm going to say on that except I wish there was a way to make him go away.   ENOUGH OF THAT!!
So, no TV again last night either.  My TV guide in the paper said Criminal Minds was a "new" show last night.  It ended up being a re-run.  That ticked me off too.  So, what did I do?  Went out to dinner with some people from work and had a great time, came home, "surfed" a bit and went to sleep. 
One of the girls I work with has been with the company for 30 years.  They give you a choice of items out of a catalog and its yours.  She picked a tv.  Now I didn't think much about it.  Figured it was a 13" tv for her bedroom etc.  It took a few weeks to get here and it showed up yesterday.  By Freight line.  On a Pallet.  OMG.  It's a big ol' Sony, 20" or better TV.  What a hoot.  I'd be interested to hear what kind of fun she had last night getting it into her house.  Nice gift for 30 years isn't it?
Oh yeah, its 24 degrees here.  It's supposed to get up to 53 today and beginning Friday its supposed to rain for 3 days. Oh boy.

Whats with the junk mail all of a sudden.? My email has been flooded the past few days and believe me, they aren't even close to stuff I visit, post about etc.  No, I don't need anything that's battery operated, I have no need for V*a*ara so I don't need mail telling me the symptom of why I should have it....and no, I don't want anything to do with D*b or anyone else who does Da**as or any other city for that matter.  First thing this morning..Geeze
See that snow below?  Yeah, that stuff you can hardly see.  Well, you wouldn't believe the schools that closed this morning.  That's why we really don't like heavy snow here that lasts more than a few hours.  East Tennesse isn't prepared for snow. The hills etc can cause all kinds of issues.  I don't like driving in the snow here, and heck, I grew up in New Jersey.  Didn't move here until I was an adult. 
I don't know about you, but I sure wish our regular programs would start back and soon...I can only watch "House Hunters", "Designers Challenge" and "Divine Design" and "Curb Appeal" so many times.  Believe me I've got plenty of those episodes stacked up.  I love Candace Olson....really. When/if I ever get a house,  I want her to decorate it. 
Ok, enuf.  I'm off to work.  It's winter here now.  Its 31 this morning but its supposed to be 60 over the weekend.          GO figure..

Oh this hurts, bad but.....I'm so da*n glad that Florida won last night!!  Not only did they wind, they took Ohio State to the cleaners and I loved it!!  Those of you who know me, know I listen to ESPN radio or any sports radio all the time and all week we've heard how Ohio will take Florida to the shed.  That Florida just can't handle it and Michigan would probably have been a better game.  HAH!!!.  Now Florida is our biggest rival.  Surpasses Alabama by a mile.  Their fans are at best, difficult but....when it comes to the SEC, we have a tendency to stick together.  Now, I'm glad they won but its over now too.  Can continue to hate Florida and believe me, I do.  Did you know that they're the only school who has ever held both National Football and National Basketball titles at the same time..How insufferable will they be now...........
Oh yeah, and all that stuff this weekend about how warm and beautiful it was?  Its 36 now and its supposed to snow today.  You can actually see the snow on tha map and its heading this way.  It'll be great if it does because the ground is too warm for it to do any damage so it should just be beautiful.  I'll take my cameral with me just in case...

Here I am, on the couch watching TV and posting.  Yep, cool. I usually injure myself when I'm posting and trying to watch/listen to tv at the same time.  Now I can actually look at the screen and post.  I'm also getting better at this thingy called a mouse type thing.  I'm not great yet and I have a little mouse to use when I get frustrated but getting better every day.
Wow,did you know you can order Papa Johns pizza online..mmmmm.  Not tonight but I may at some time...
Ok. my life is boring and I'm sure you'd rather NOT read about me and my computer. 
Today was dealing with grumps day.  Two of my favorite customers bit my head off today over things I had no control over.  One, swore he sent me an order and got very carried away when I said no, I couldn't find it. But I told him to give me a few minutes to see if someone had pulled the order etc and I'd call him back. Goodness he was p'o'd...So its not there (I knew it wasn't) and I called him and guess what?  He was as nice as a lamb. Think he realized that me not having it may have been his fault?  Then the next guy gets p'o'd because a manufacturer will NOT let me sell this one item.  I'm not the right "category" of distributor.  Starts screaming at me..saying "if it was a five thousand dollar item" I bet you'd sell it"....Geeze.  Neither one of these customers has ever been testy with me and its been 17 years!!!.  What the hell?  Change of years or something?
The number of "bite me's" that went through my mind was uncountable...mercifully, I didn't say it as much as I wanted to...
Ok.  I'm done..I'll stop boring you..  I'll have to get my pictures transferred to this computer...

Every bit of Monday....

So, here I am sitting on my bed posting.  This is cool.  There is one drawback though, I'd really rather lay down, turn over and go back to sleep...of course, with it being Monday morning I have this issue called a job.......I may do this downstairs in the mornings.  Maxi came up here before I did.  I think he likes the new electric blanket on his hip but I'd really rather go to sleep right now.
I managed to get the font's bigger on the screen but......it still looks like a big ol' white fog
is on my screen.  Any ideas?
Did you know, that there is a limit to what you can put on a debit card? I didn't and when I bought this I tried the debit card and it wouldn't take it. I wrote a check, (which, I might add I haven't done in forever).  They said it was so that if someone stole it they couldn't do too much damage to your account.  Good idea, I just didn't know that it was there.  This is a good thing. 
Not one, nopey, not one of my favorite teams won.  Not ONE!!!!  I didn't care about the Seattle/Dallas game.  I was watching it and goodness that QB from Dallas earned my pity after that botched play.  I hope at some point he wins a Super Bowl, or he will only be remembered as the dude that screwed that up!!
Oh yeah, winter is at the front door and getting ready to blow in.  Actually its not too bad but its a lot worse than this weekend.  It's 41 degrees here this morning.  High 48.  I don't think it was that cool this weekend at all.  Even in the morning. AND.  they're predicting snow flurries for late tomorrow.  I'm glad I don't need bread or milk 'cause the stores will be empty for sure.

I won't be doing this anymore in the morning.  I am such a creature of habit and so, I'll be downstairs in the mornings.  I'm about to go NUTS here and so is Maxi.  Maybe if it was a one floor apt it would be ok.  It's cool though being upstairs and posting..  We'll see.  How was your weekend?

I've had one heck of a day. I had so much "running" etc to do and now I'm home.  I must say it was an ok day.  I won the first  quarter of the "International Bowl" today.  My friend called me while I was in the middle of Target to tell me...NICE. 
The Colts won, and that is good. They actually won good for a change.  The Dallas/Seattle game is now 20-21 Seattle.  You I'd root for Dallas if they just didn't have TO.  Their Tight End,Jason Witten, is aTennesse guy and I'd like to see him win.....For your information its down right hot here...
I'm tired and Maxi and I are heading up the steps for the bed....Later folks

Goodness this has been just a dreadful week. In a way that, it just seems so dreadfully long and crap, its only 4 days long.  Next week ought to be a jewel.  I sure wish there was something you could do/take to wake a feeling wonderful and with some get up and go.  Of course, I did wake up a 1:19 am....The last time I remember the time was 3 am so....that may be contributing to my "don't wanna get up" blues.
I have a question for anyone.  What is a good laptop?  I've always looked in the "ads" etc on Sunday and the only brand you would NOT catch me buying is HP.  NEVER.  This rather ornery machine I have is HP and that's all I need to know.  I've discovered I don't know much about computers any more and I may up grade at some point but I just don't know who to ask for advice on brand and what does dual core mean?  Pictures are an issue.  I use them a lot.

Ok, maybe I carried on too much last night.  After all I didn't hit the lottery or anything, I will have to continue to work, save etc but............It'll be a whole lot more enjoyable and my mood will sure be far easier to put up with..........Thanks for all of your good wishes, really. 
They just showed a little rat terrier on the TV news.  Why, you ask?  Her name is Daisy and she got out of her backyard last April.  She showed up in someone in town's front yard, tag on etc.  So what? Well, she lived in Denver..and they had never been to Tennessee.  How cool is that?  They said her collar was different but her rabies tags were the correct ones.  No telling what that pups been through and she probably didn't want to get on that airplane but she's home safely now. 
Congrats to LSU fans.  Not a big surprise that they won, Notre Dame isn't known for their bowl performances but a good thing since some SEC teams truly did stink up the bowl games they were in...
I'm in a very good mood folks..  So, I'm going to work now.  I have to get ready.  I'm going to do my hair.  It's puffed now according to everyone at work.  My hair is now longer than its been since "the blow".  (Remember, I was bald!!) I'm reserving judgment on whether I like it or not, no matter...I've got to do something with it.

I can't go into detail.  I don't talk too much about work but today was marvelously wonderful.....My life may just be a whole lot easier and enjoyable and after 18 years at this place.......It finally paying off and I am so VERRRRYYYY happy right now.  Yes folks, today has been a very, good day!!!!!

Poor Maxi.  I think he's old and achy.  I know, we're the same age.  He's hesitating jumping off the bed in the mornings.  I'm going to give it a few more days of me being at work and him sleeping all day to see if it gets better (it has before). If not, we're off to the vet.  Getting an aspirin into him takes an act of god too.  He hasn't figured it out that they make him better.  Same with the Doggie steps.  He hasn't figured that out about the steps either.  I'm trying to figure out how to decorate those damn things............
Well, my life is back to boring so I'm going to work.  I've also got a Dr appt this morning to get my meds rewritten.  Long story, but we have new insurance and dammit, I'm so sick of this every year..........grrr

AARRRGGG..  Ok, that's the "good god I have to go back to work" scream.  I'm somewhat ready, but getting up was difficult.  I've slept until 7:30 (at least) the last 10 days and 5:30 was way TOOOOO early this morning. But, I'm ready.  I think.
Boise State won last night.  Boise State beat Oklahoma last night.  Boise State is NOW UNDEFEATED... Congrats to all fans of Boise State, no I didn't stay up to watch it but I just saw the highlights and it was fantastic.!!!  Congrats again....

What to do....

Well, I'm not a resolution type of person. I usually make them and then break them.  The only time I kept one was, 2002...I, as usual, made the "stop smoking" resolution.  The only reason I kept it was a 3 week coma and enough sense when I woke up to realize I didn't need to light a cigarette.   Strong huh?  But I'm still not a smoker so that's good.  Glad I kept that one...I'm going to make some changes in the way I live.  I'm not going to list them other than the one to grow my hair a bit.  See, when you have an aneurysm and they have to do "things" to your head, you wake up bald.  I learned to live with very very short hair but now, I'm thinking I want it a bit longer.  As a matter of fact..I just curled it.  I think I feel better "doing" my hair so.....We'll see how long this goes on.  I'm not sure where I'm going with the "do" but I'm going to experiment for a while.  The other things.....Maybe later maybe not.   
I hope you all had a wonderfully safe New Years Eve.  I only made it until 11:30 pm or so but I tried.  Of course, now I'm dragging. 
Vols play in 1-1/2 hrs.  11:00 am ESPN  Outback Bowl against Penn State.  GO VOLS.
If I'm reading this right on the Bowling for Bucks I won last nights game.  Miami was favored to win by 3.5 points.  I took Nevada so since Miami won by 1 point so I get this one right?  Since they didn't beat them by 3.5 points or more?  I hope so and if it is I'm 7-5 in the bowl games.  Today could really really change that too..
