THIS AND THAT

• So..I take Maxi out for a walk a little while ago...holy smokes its hot...so there's this young kid walking his little black puppy.  Maxi and she kind of make friends and the boy asks me how old Maxi is.  I say 7 yrs he says his is 8 wks.  And then......then he says "She half Chow and half black lab...she hasn't learned to fight yet"....I so wanted to shake him and tell him that's not what dogs are for when it dawned on me.  ..one of his parents probably put that thought in his head...dammit.

• US tied the World Cup game yesterday.  They tied Italy so now they have to beat Ghana and Italy needs to beat someone they're playing next. 

• The U.S. Open golf tournament is shaping up to be just fine at the end of the day...and

• the Cubs "Big Horse" pitcher started today's game against Detroit and promptly gave up 4 homers and 8 runs in 3+ innings before they took him out.........mmmmmmm

• DON'T FORGET...Tonight the new show Treasure Hunt premiers tonight and it sounds interesting.. somewhere along the lines of Amazing Race.  I can't wait...and let me say this. I watched episode two of "Windfall" and didn't like it much at all.  I haven't ruled it totally out, I'll give it a few more episodes.  Heck there isn't much else on anyway but I just didn't like the way the story line is going.  But remember, I'm the one who got sick of Desperate Housewives too so..............could just be me..imagine that!!!
