I know a lot of you know of my roommate who died in 1998. Well, we started having a "golf tournament" in her memory to raise funds for the Sexual Assault Crisis Center. It's this weekend...I'm not griping but I didn't sleep last night, not a wink. Tonight is a gathering at one of the hosts home to chop up food etc for the dinner after the tournament. Then up at 6 in the AM to get there in time to register, take money etc. Then around 10 am the food arrives and we spend the rest of the day getting ready for the end of the tournament. Its usually a lot of fun for the golfers. Not so much for the volunteers. I know I usually end up stinky, sweaty and grumpy by the end of the day. Not to mention, having had some wine...
So...I'm thinking of skipping tonight (which includes a free meal) just so I can make sure I"m there in the am. Is that shitty? What do you think. Usually the Friday before the tournament goes pretty late. Hell, part of me is afraid I'll fall asleep with my face in the food.....bad news. See, I know all of the golfers, or most of them, will be there tonight so I'm not really needed but I'm starting to feel guilty.....Oh well,.......what do you think? am I a shit? or just a tired B*tch?
I so DO NOT THINK that you are a b*tch... I actually agree with Laura... it isn't good if you are too tired to enjoy yourself, your roommate would SO understand!

I think if tonight is not that important you SHOULD sleep and make sure you are bright-eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrow!!!
