Pretty Good Sunday...

What a nice day.  The temps are low and it acts like it wants to rain, but nothing more than drizzle..The nice part is....
I talked to BOTH of my children today.  Now, doesn't that end up being one great Sunday?  Miss Zoot and I discussed the joys of parenthood, Scavenger Saturday, Blog designing etc.  Just plain catching up.  We haven't spoken in quite a few days so that was most wonderful...........then....Xzhibit called.  Now, I know, if you read Miss Zoot, that she thinks he's crazy.  Well, I don't think he's crazy but maybe just a little bit different than she and I are...See, he called from a bike race that he took part in this morning.  And something about the platinum times and how he was so pleased with that outcome..and how he didn't think he'd do to well because.....HE RODE IN ANOTHER BIKE RACE YESTERDAY..TO THE TOP OF MT LEMMON OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.  Oh yeah, and we were interrupted, he called me back later and he was walking Sadie....

This is a picture of me and my grandmother taken in 1949.  It really wasn't a picture I took but I wasn't too good on the camera back then.

This is just about the only picture left of my grandmother.  As you can tell by the Oxygen tank, she wasn't well.  I have a few memories of her, but I'm the only one in my family that does.  I think I was around 5-6 when she died. 

Anyway, that's what I thought of when I saw the category "old".. either that picture of one of me...........and that wasn't going to happen

WHOOO...Happy Friday......and its COLD here.  Its 47 degrees.  Now, I'm not complaining for I've always preferred colder to hotter, and let me tell you how wonderfully I slept last night with the windows open..  BUT...It is a bit chilly...bitch, bitch, bitch. I know
OK Survivor..  How much better can this particular "series" get. I have made one decision after last night...Shane is NOT crazy.  Crazy like a fox maybe, but not crazy.  Well, let me clarify that.. He wasn't crazy until everyone proved to him that his plan wasn't going quite the way he had planned.  Did you see the look on his face when Courtney was voted off.?  I laughed my butt off looking at all of the faces as the votes were counted.
And Terry....wins the damn car.  What a dope. If he had thrown the car deal to Danielle etc he may have had some luck in his plans but no......he had to win the car and of course ..you do remember that whoever wins the car, never wins the game...and so much for his best laid plans.  I do believe the ONLY way he's going to win is to win all of the immunity challenges.  I've pretty much always liked him but he's slipping fast. and did you notice.....the subject of the car NEVER came up.  They never told the other three that it was even available let alone won....mmmmmm
Isn't Cirie the most brilliant woman in the world right now?  I mean she knew what she had to do and just plain got it done.  I don't know how she can possibly win.  I don't see here winning any challenge unless its a mental one.  Last night was a perfect demonstration of her inability to compete in a physical challenge.  BUT...If it comes down to being sly, cunning and sooooo smart.  She's got it....and I'd love to see her win.  I love her laugh...Shane's plans kinda went to hell in a handbasket.  I don't see him winning against anyone now that Courtney is gone...which, by the way, is a perfect twist to this Survivor...........Loved this one last night..
More gossip for your Friday morning digestion....Rosie O'Donnell is rumored to be the replacement for Meredith Viera on the View.  It'll be announced later today.  Don't like Rosie, never have liked Rosie and never watched her show......Of course I can't watch the View since I have this little obligation called a job.  But, I used to look forward to the View when I was off from work .....If Rosie is there.  I won't.  GIve me Ellens' show any day..
Anderson Cooper is going to contribute to 60 minutes.  I personally think that's great because now...With him and Katie at least there will be two who aren't 100....(Did I just say that?)..

Did you watch Amazing Race last night?  I 've decided that that one wasn't so good.  I mean its great that Fran and Barry went home.  I didn't like them too much anyway.  As a matter of fact, they're my least favorite of all of the token "old couples" ever on the show so bye guys...My favorites are still the hippies.  Frat boys are still fixed on women etc and lets face it, if that's all you can focus on you're probably not going to win.  Well, that's my opinon anyway...I know I don't like Monica and Joseph much.  I used to like them well enough but lately..not so much.
Ok..let me burst forth with some really bad opionions............My FAVORITE show is Criminal Minds.  I've stopped watching "Lost" so I could watch Criminal Minds.  So, after Amazing Race last night, I go upstairs to bed and turn on Criminal Minds...Ready for this.........IT WAS PREEMPTED FOR THE TAPED DOGWOOD ARTS FESTIVAL PARADE................WHAT!!!!..  Pre-empt my favorited show for the damn Dogwood Arts Festival parade.  There are bazillions of hours to show that thing, why the hell was it on in Prime Time TV....How about showing it in place of 'Mayberry"...shit...I was so damned pissed....Still am...I know Criminal Minds was a re-run but I had missed the first one and TIVO didn't work............They announced before the parade that if you wanted to watch it its on at TWO AM.........grrrrrrrr.....................
I'm late for work............Have a good day and may the programmers at the local CBS station have hemmoroid problems all week long.......dumb ass parade.........

HUMP DAY...

What a day...It's pouring now, and has most of the night.  I hardly slept a wink but....wanted to sleep forever.  There isn't much the body wants to do more than sleep when its raining..and mine is no different.  Yesterday it was 80, today it'll only get to 67 and that'll be it....I'm rather happy about that though.  Let me cut down on A/C bills  some too....
Did you watch NCIS last night? It was a great episode, or at least I thought it was.  I just love Abby and after last year, I don't trust NCIS to not kill a major character off.  If they're going to kill someone off it needs to be Dinozo (sp).  He still just plain gets on my nerves..
HOUSE was done quite well too although I must admit, he (House) got on my nerves with some of his "Me vs God" attitude. 
Oh yeah, and while all of that was going on, the Cubs were winning...Just saying....

Terrific Tuesday

Hoss says this is the only day anyone does work and so its terrific..I had a better chance yesterday of being in a better mood.  You know the kind of night (sleep) you have when you eat something like Chili before you go to bed..  Nightmares and no sleep....That was me last night.  Goodness I have not idea where all of those dreams came from but I sure wasn't sleeping.  I'm not so sure Maxi didn't have the same kind of night.   He was up and down too.......just weird...
For the two of you who watch "The Apprentice"....I'm so glad he finally let that *bi**h" go.  She is absolutly an intolerable witch and should have gone a long time ago.  Now...that doesn't mean her team wasn't a bunch of dummies, they were and it wasn't all of her fault but...........it's good shes gone.
Did you see Donald's son?  Its good he's got money.  His daughter resembles her mom, unfortunately the son is a bad cc of The Donald.  They're now giving you a chance to win $10,000 bucks now for watching the show.  I had my computer turned off last night so I didn't try but I will next time.   You can text a message but I'll be damned if I'll pay to vote.  I feel the same way about Big Brother.  I won't pay to vote there either..
Cubs won last night.  Of course when they scored the runs, I was watching Donald but after The Donald, I turned to the game, still convinced they were losing and it was 6-3...Good stuff.  The Cubs pitcher, Carlos Zambrano, is a very tempermental young man.  His temper has cost the Cubs some games.  Carlos gets mad when he messes up and sometimes it turnes out good, and sometimes............not so good.  So, he's at bat last night.  Now for a pitcher, he's ok at the bat and the score of the game was Marlins 3-Cubs 0.....(Carlos had a rough 1st inning).  Well, Carlos struck out...so do you know what he did?  He broke the bat in two over his knee...Snapped that bad boy right in half.  Mercifully, he didn't snap his knee in half... Dope...He also didn't get the win.  mmm.

Wonderful Monday

Ah yes its a lovely day.  I'm up and going to work and could NOT be more overjoyed at the prospect.  I've just had a three day weekend and what could possibly be the perfect follow up to a long weekend, thank waking up on Monday and going to work..AHhhh yes, life is just plain wonderful. 
(yeah, I'm working on my mood today, can you tell?)
I'll be fine though because....My vacation starts May 15...and I fully intend to sleep late every single morning and that's that...
The damn weatherman just said for the third time this morning..."I'll have all the details later"...LATER....Hey stupid, I need to know NOW......Jerk.
Kevin Harvick won the car race Sat. night.  He's not my favorite driver but...he beats the crap out of any driver with the  last name "Busch"..Baby Busch got called to the "hauler" Sat too.  That's what you get for going up to someone when you're not happy with them..Nascar today is being run by Miss Manners...grrr
Greg Maddux pitched a beauty yesterday.  For someone who's 40, he seems to be in better shape than he was last year.  Too bad he can't pitch every single day.  Cubs might have a chance.
Does anyone know if the Food Network has any black people working there?  The "New Food Network Star" ended last night.  There was a black man and a white man as the finalists.  Reggie, the black man, was my favorite.  The other guy, Guy, was okay and had a wonderful laugh but I just wanted Reggie to win.  I got thinking about the "Food Network's Cooks" and I can't think of one black person.  Can you?  I know they had the Vegetarian dude years ago, but I can't think of even seeing a black person on that show.  Cameraman, directors nothing....No I'm not trying to start anything.  I don't watch Food TV 24hrs a day and was wondering about that last night....Of course, as far as the public voting.   There was probably me and two others and the other two probably were Guy's family.....Just saying...9pm Sunday, Food Network,  Probably not.
I am working on hating Walmart....In their never ending attempt to turn into Target, they've messed up the reason I go there.  I can't tell you how many items I used to buy there and they've stopped carrying.  Lotions, OTC meds, etc.. but the worst thing is the "chicken jerky" things they USED to carry for doggie treats.  Maxi loves those damn things and he WAS getting one every morning for "breakfast". I ritual he and I had and now...Don't carry any more and you should see the look I get every morning when he gets a substitute.., and to make matters worse, they were out of "denta sticks" too so I had to break what I had in half.  This morning he looked at me like I had stolen his food.....Damn Walmart.
Ok, enough babbling.  One of the bosses told me Thursday that there would be PLENTY of stuff waiting for me this morning.  OH JOY.......Have a great Monday everyone... <=== Catdoms' answer to my passed out doggie on the couch...Thanks Maribeth..

Its Saturday...

Not much to report on today folks.  I'm sorry about the code thingy that was supposed to stop spam etc.  It didn't stop the pings from a site named ra*e, Bl*w J*b, and something in a foreign language.  That's why I shut down the TrackBack and pings so early.  I may just keep them shut down, not comments of course and see what happens there...Damn spammers anyway...
The neighbors down the hill from me have a Collie.  He's quite beautiful but they keep him tied up all day and I think all night.  At first he was on a real short tie and there was no shade on his patio for him to go except in the late afternoon.  It was near the side fence but it was also where the poor buy pooped all day long.  So here were his options...Lay on the hot concrete in the sun, or lay in the shade in his shit...I could see a little bowl that I was hoping like hell had some water in it, but it too, was in the sun.  About the time I had decided to call the "pet police" the got him a longer tie out.  He could at least move around and not lay in his poop..  After the attack by some big dogs on Maxi more than a year ago, I'm not as eager to approach a large dog even though Collies are supposed to be gentle...Anyway, yesterday I was out on my patio after bring Maxi back from a walk and here was the Collie, peeing on my bush...That was ok, I hate the bush but when I tried to talk to him he cowered away..  I put out some water for him but he never came back.  I was so worried about him being out in this godawful weather with no shelter.  I worried all night long but kept telling myself that maybe someone would take care of him..........He's back home this morning.  Tied up and sleeping in the grass.....So, he's safe, that's good, but he's still tied out in the sun and I'm thinking that's not good.  Its not too hot today nor will it be for the next week or so but what should I do if he's out there when it is hot and he has no shelter from the sun.  Do you think its right to call the "pet police" or should I just mind my own business.  I don't know the dog but I've become rather fond of him, probably because of his circumstances....Any advice is welcome......He really is a beauty......
Ok..I'm off for the day..  I have one more thing to do...................

Mornin!!!!

I just got up.......yep...9:00 am.  Maxi and I slept a lot...and I really think if we both didn't have to go to the bathroom we'd both still be asleep..  There's no sunshine to come through the window and make me feel guilty for sleeping late and its raining like hell. Now isnt' that a perfect way to sleep near death?...and it was, believe me....ahhhh.  I love mental health days and believe me I needed this one..Some days are  just better than others..
Did you watch Survivor last night?  How insane is Shane?  Dangerously insane do you think?  That reaction of his, when Cirie chosed Aras and Danielle to go with her, was frightening if you aske me.  Someone probably needs to give him a cigarette or something.. I'm serious, he had me wondering if he was going to do something and...if , according to the previews, he thinks a peice of wood is a Blackberry.....mmmmmm..it may be run for you life time..  Cirie did the right thing making up to him and with him though. 
That luxury competition was wonderful. Do you think they did that one so they could cause trouble in the "tribe" that was united?  I'm thinking if Terry plays his cards right and sits down and lets trouble brew, he may very well be ok...Courtney would probably go with him since she thinks they all hate her, then he might only need one more vote and Shane might be interested.. I think I want Terry, Cirie, or Aras to win.. I don't care about Danielle and I sure as hell don't want Shane to win.. 
Remember when Shane said last night that he wanted to go to the finals with Courtney? That anyone could win with Courtney with them?  I think he's wrong...She could actually win with Shane next to her don't you think?  Of course that would probably be a finale that I would gladly miss.  What a dreadful thought..
Baseball.......The Cubs may be done for the season.  Derrick Lee is out for possibly 6-10 weeks with two broken bones in his wrist....At least, that's what all the "Talking Heads" are saying..."Cubs done"....My only thought on this is...Is he the only one on the team who can play baseball?  If so, they're paying a lot of money for nothing, and they need to find someone to manage that team who can get more than one good player for that much money.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Have a good day, I'm going to make a breakfast that has nothing in it that's good for me..It will all be done in a frying pan and after that....may go back to bed.  It's pouring...

I love three day weekends and I have one....now....this weekend...........whoooooooo....Unless one of my bosses who I absolutely love working for needs me then it'll be Sat, Sun & Mon....I just need a THREE DAY WEEKEND ......and that's what I told him last night....Of course, its supposed to rain both Friday and Monday so it also doesn't matter in that issue either.........
Did you watch Amazing Race last night?  I know some people don't like the "hippies" but I do. I like them a  lot and was sooooooooo thrilled that they get to stay.  They may still lose but the poor guy who couldn't find the damn food was so hot and miserable I just didn't want them to go home.  I'm happy for Fran and Barry but I really don't like him...not one bit. Ray and Yolanda?  they may not make it to the end of this Race.  Can you imagine winning a million bucks and hating each other...........
Don't forget tonight is SURVIVOR......Tell me, is this the 3rd promo for someone being hurt, sick or otherwise in trouble?  I know I've seen at least one ad for it and it never happened...It was back when Dan was there because I thought it was him.  This week.  I'm thinking Bruce. 
One of my pet peeves first thing in the morning is turning on the weather and dude tells you what its like outside now and tells you to stay tuned if you want to hear more...shithead..I have to get in the shower and get ready for work...and I guarantee you he'll give all the full details as I shower away and don't hear a damn thing......I want to smack him right in the face....Hear me?  Smack the little fart right across the room..(Phew, I feel better, thanks)  AND
One other big change I would make....Fast food restaurants...drive ins specifically. I would put the damn menu about 10 feet before "George/Georgette the communist leaders" demand me to order.  No, I don't go to fast foods enough to know exactly what I want but if you don't order right away, the people behind you get ticked off, and the monster behind that damn squawk box gets really, really impatient.  If they put the damn sign where everyone who is in line waiting can read it and decide what they want....well, I at least would be happier.   By the way Chick-fil-A does that...cluck, cluck, cluck...

HAPPY HUMP DAY...

Well, I'm in a "nuthin" slump here.  Nothing much is happening, at least nothing that I can write about and so there really isn't much to say....
Of course there's the one thing everyone can talk about....GAS...(at the pump Hoss)...I was driving in to work yesterday and remembering back in the 70's when people were raising all kinds of hell over the price of gas.  Now I know there was supposedly a shortage at the time causing all of the lines but the price kept going up and up.  I remember all the the bitching, and if I'm not mistaken that's when little cars became such a perfect car for everyone. SUV's be damned.  We were going to make sure this didn't happen again.  We all were going to drive small cars from then on.  No SUV's were going to "use up all of our gas/oil".  That's when they started advertising the actual gas mileage of a vehicle before any other features.   I have one question.  Why aren't we screaming now?  The prices now are killing my budget.  Making me try to do more than one thing everytime I start my car (which is a little Saturn) not a gas guzzler...but I don't sense the anger now that there was then.  Also, I my memory is right, the President kept speaking out about how this had to stop and he was doing all he could, (supposedly) to keep it under control.  Does Georgie even know about what's going on with the gas prices?

HEY, ITS TUESDAY...

I'm still trying to find out a distinction for Tuesday. Of course I know, that even if you do wake up and its Tuesday and Tuesday is just a day...well, its better than not waking up.  So the fact that you woke up makes Tuesday a good day.  I'm still going to work on a "name" for Tuesdays.  Any help would be appreciated..
My daughter, in case you haven't read her since yesterday afternoon, is giving my poor grandchild poop softener for her earwax........Holy Shit........
Cubs won last night.  That's all on that.
Visitor to work was very pleasant.  I think a lot of us are more relaxed than we have been in a long time.  Now the hose and skirt...Not such a pleasant experience.  and he might be back in 6 weeks.  I will be on the search for some pants...also, I don't want him to think I only have one skirt.  (I do only have one skirt)..
Food Network.  They've got the "New Stars"down to two.  My two favorite.. I'm sorry if you've missed this show,  It really was one of the best "reality" shows I've seen recently,.  Also that Celebrity Cooking wasn't too bad.  But I did fall asleep in the middle of it so obviously it wasn't THAT good...  Tonight is pretty good TV.  In my house, to keep Maxi happy, we watch NCIS and then House.  Two of his favorites and he can be so demanding.  It's 59 here and supposed to be nicer today and maybe,,,,just maybe I can turn the ac off. 
Do me a favor...Go see Deb today and just let her know you're with her. She needs it a lot today and so does Laura.  Deb's son is leaving for the military today and although its an admirable choice for him...Mom's just don't leap with joy these day over that choice.

That would be me....The dope.  All the way.  I just got up, 6:24 am.  I'm supposed to many steps ahead of where I am in my quest to get to work..We've got some visitors coming in today, who are company (the new one) "big wigs" and no one has ever met them.  So I figured, you know, first impression etc.  So I ironed clothes, (I bought some new ones) and ever purchased panty hose to wear today.  Got my car washed also, since its parked in the front of the building.  I decided first impression was the most important one and I sure don't want them to "clean house".  But if they do, I just don't want to be first in line.
Fine day to sleep in isn't it?          Grrrrrr.  So, those of you who are off today, Enjoy!!. Those of  you who have to go back to work..........well,,,,,Sorry.

It's a beautiful day here and I hope it is where you are.  I know Zoot is okay...When she called me yesterday, totally hysterical, she was going to pay 200.00 for a Cadberry Egg.  She'd been such a good girl by not eating any yet and she was soooo looking forward to her treats.  Fortunately, she found them in Walgreens and didn't have to pay 200.00 ...and she was happy.
Maxi and I are just going to chill out here today.  I don't know why but I didn't sleep worth a lick last night.  Everyone have a lovely day...and yes, I know my feet, below are a day late I'll be ready next Saturday......Join..its fun.

Anyone who was reading this last summer knows how much I hate heat. Summer is the "dreaded" season for me...Spring...that's a different story.  I love spring.  I wish it was Spring/Fall all year long.  SO WHY THE HELL IS IT 63 NOW....I'm having to put the AC on since there is no cross breeze in an apartment and it gets very warm in here, very fast and I HATE this..  Especially this early in the year.  Maxi hates it too because he has no screened doors he can lay down and look outside and he loves that...BUT let me also say, that this is better than rain and cold, especially on Easter.  To me, that is worse than the heat.  Easter is the official sign of spring and I do like it when its in April, and beautiful.  I just wanted to bitch for a few minutes, lest anyone think I was dropping the ball.

AHHH WORK...WHAT'S SO HARD ABOUT THIS?

Were you raised Catholic?  I was and this was the holiest time of the year.  I can remember the "nuns" telling us that this was holier than Christmas and then told us why.  It didn't fly too well when I was a kid.  I mean, you just got candy...Christmas....gifts.  BUT...I do remember Good Friday.  We were always off from school which was good and there was the 12-3 hrs of silence.  We had to come in the house, and not talk or make any noise for three hours.  I'm sure we were supposed to be reading the bible etc but at that age,I know absolutely no one who read the bible or meditated.  All most of us did was watch the clock until we could "move" again.  Of course, in my adulthood, I'm not sure that the reason the parents were so strict about the silence was............the silence.  Noon til three on Good Friday was one guarantee that your brats would be quiet and you could have peace at least once a year.. Keep in mind, there was no cable TV then, no tivo, no VCR's......Keeping kids quiet was much easier then than it is now...

Survivor....You know as cocky as Terry is, he's still my favorite so far.  I really liked Sally a lot too.  Do you think that Terry might have trouble with the jury since he didn't use the immunity idol on either one of them.  I think he was right, just in case he does lose a competition, but not saving them?  I know Sally said she didn't resent him not using it but give her time..   Good god, they need to get rid of Shane...He's just such a creep.  Was he crying last night about missing the child who's life he bet on something a few weeks ago?  grrr. Is Courtney the only one who voted for Aras? or did she?  I really don't like her a bit either......
Folks, its 63 degrees here. See, if you don't like the weather in East Tennessee, just stick around.  It'll be entirely different in a day or two.  It's supposed to be 85-87 today which would break records for the heat.  And its going to be over 80 for the next three days at least and not cool off much at night.  So....even though its against my spring religion I do have the AC on...It was miserable here last night..
Maxi is going to work with me today....hehe...I'll take pics with my phone and post them, if possible..
Two names I really am sick of hearing....Barry Bonds,,,,,,,and Paula Abdul and I DO NOT watch American Idol.............never have.

I'm tired today and don't know why.  We had an office meeting last night but I was home at 7 and in bed by 9:30.  I'll tell you this, its too hot for this time of year.  I really don't want to put the AC on but its hard to get any cross breeze in the apartment so.....we'll see.   I think tomorrow its going to be 87...It would be ok except at night its supposed to be in the 60's and that usually makes for a rather uncomfortable night.   
Do you have to work Friday?  We do...Hardly any of our customers work, maybe two, and here we go to just sit in the office trying to create things to do..  We've actually given up on the "creating" things to do.  One of our customers has a major golf tournament on Good Friday so there's no one in the office but 4-5 of us.  I'm going to take Maxi with me and the other worker is going to bring her 5 yr old.  We'll see how that goes....:-)
Did you watch Amazing Race last night?  I must say, I like it much better on Wed at 8 but  I almost wish they'd put it back on Tuesdays at 9 like its always been.  Is Phil becoming far more friendly?  All that fuss over the kisses from the hippies. What a hoot...I love Phil  and think he should just stay the way he is.  How glad are you that the creep Dentist went home?  I was terrified that last night wouldn't be a "go home" episode and we'd be stuck with him more.  I like the wife.  She, for some reason, loves him and she sure as heck won't take any of his grief but wouldn't you like to be a fly on his office wall for a while.  All these people telling him how awful he is...heheheh..Paybacks are hell...
I still love the hippies and Ray and Yolanda.  I was terrified Ray and Yolanda would have to go home due to the penalty.  I think of all the ones that are left, the ones I like the least are Fran & Barry.  I don't like his moodiness.  Without the Dentist, there isn't anyone who I really dislike.  Of course that could change.  Did ya notice how so many women had to do the bungy?  There weren't a lot of men in line to jump off the bridge...most especially the dentist...I cussed him something awful when he didn't do it....
Well off to work.  I'm going to have to do some SERIOUS work on my psyche this morning.  All I want to do is go back to bed........
Things to be grateful for today.........?  I woke up and I have a job.  Both are most excellent don't ya think?   Happy Thursday folks...I'm going to work on more for the grateful list, the more I wake up.. <=====  One more grateful..every day

Cubs lost 9-2 yesterday.  When they lose, they sure know how to do it right......grrrrrr
Doggie is mad at me.  More like furious.  I always most of the time have treats that I call "chickens" for his breakfast.  They're like beef jerky but chicken and he loves them.  Right before I sit down here to drink cup 'o coffee #2, I give him one for breakfast.... Except today.  I don't have any more.  Ran out...for the first time ever.  You should see the look I'm getting. Now, don't get me wrong here, he's got a 5 lb box of "milk bones" and he's eating one right now but .....while he's eating said bone (his treat after I get home at night, not breakfast) he's glaring at me as if I had killed his first born...
I watched episode two of Apprentice last night.  Unlike Maribeth I don't stay up past 10 unless I can't sleep..Monday night, getting to sleep was NO problem.  Anyhow, I see it this way.  Leslie didn't understand pricing at all.  8 bucks for a sandwich at the 7-11?  NOT....I liked her but when she only brought one person into the boardroom for the "axing" I knew she was a goner.  Once again, she went against what "The Donald" wanted, (altho' I'm not sure what that was) and got her own butt fired.  And he liked her, it was obvious...One more thing....I hate that girl Andrea. I'd kind of like to take a survey of anyone who has ever worked with/for her and see what they thought.  Talk about a dictator.....grrrrr
Apprentice is gone for two weeks (control your disappointment).  There's a new show on next week about Celebrity cooking....Hey,its on Monday at 9...What the hell else is on on Monday's.  I'm not a Fox fan so..............The only shows on FOX that I watch are "House", baseball and football........That's all folks.........

There isn't much on TV tonight folks.  "House" is on , of course, and that's one of my favorite "non-reality" shows ever so that's good....But of course with TIVO I can tape it and go to bed...
I am addicted.  My addictive personality is sucked in again.  To what you ask?  Chick-filet chicken biskits for breakfast.  I'm one of those people who doesn't get hungry until I get in the car to head to work.  I've brought things for breakfast but that's usually a failure and one day, in the interest of not eating eggs and sausage from Mickey D's every day I tried the chicken biskit....OMG...I have been sold that this is the most delicious ever breakfast biscuit and....Just think how much better it is for me...We have no sausage, no eggs, no cheese .......just a little piece of chicken and a biskit...(that's how they spell biskit folks).  See so I'm much more healthy and I get a vegetable too....potatoes.  I start out my day on a good leg....Like now..have a good day folks and if you have a Chick-filet where you are..have one for me!!!

Dead Battery

No. not in my car, in me.  I don't want to go to work this morning.  I really don't know why except its a chronic disease I seem to have. I didn't sleep well last night at all so that may be part of it ..I hope so. ..I may just take a long weekend or something very soon..I'd take Easter weekend and go and see the Zoot except someone has already taken Monday.  I don't want to drive home on Easter so....I guess I'll put bunny ears on Maxi...hehehehe.
The Golf yesterday was great.  All up to the end of the tournament.  I don't know why, but I just don't have the "umph" for Phil Mickelson.  He seems nice enough and I wasn't rooting against him but he and his family look like "the perfect family".  They never say or do anything just plain human and I think that gets on my nerves.  I was rooting for Fred Couples.  Oh well, I'm glad Phil won over some others, just not Freddie...
Cubbies.........whoooooo.  Swept the Cardinals. Our season is good and complete.  Beating the Cardinals is wonderful and sweeping them right out of the neighborhood is just wonderful.  I had the game on the TV and it was the 8th inning and the Cubbies were losing.  Here comes Isringhousen, the Cardinals closer.  Usually you can just go home when he comes in.  There was one Cub on base when Izzy got in there.  He promptly walked the next two hitters loading the bases and here comes our catcher Michael Barrett...Who is a bit odd, but he can play some baseball.......How's a grand slam sound. Oh yeah and my butt was up and cheering...I'm sure the neighbors loved that but what the hey.....add one more and here come the Cubbies sweeping the Cardinals under the rug.  For now anyway and I intend to enjoy it because I'm no fool folks.....Enjoy it while you can.
Did you see Kermit on Extreme Makeover, Home Edition last night.?  What a hoot and just about the only adequate replacement for Ty....
Food Network Star was pretty good last night but I sure didn't like the guy they sent home...The four that are left?  I have no great love for any of them...Whoever they pick ...I won't be watching..

MASTERFUL SUNDAY

This day is for sure the best one in Golf.  Today is the final day of the Masters and what little golf they played yesterday, and the catchup holes this morning, if you're a fan of golf  or maybe even in you aren't, today is going to be fantastic.  There are so many stories and good players all withing winning distance.  For the first time in forever, Tiger is my second favorite today.  I want Fred Couples today.  In 1986 Jack Nicklaus won the masters at the age of 46.  Freddie is 46 and the number he drew for his number during the tournament.............86.  Okay, so I'm a sap but it would be great to see Fred win.  He's in the final group so he's in the most  excellent position......Tiger is in the third to the last group 2 shot back.........What do you think?  So if you're looking for me today, I'll be right here beginning at 2:30pm watching the best Golf Tournament of the year....

Everyone in my family is fine.  I've either talked to them or received e-mail from them.  The ones in Hendersonville still didn't have power late last night, or phones but blackberry's are wonderful.  And the other one in Madison was fine  we "Skyped".  I just spoke with Zoot and although the had an eventful night in the bathroom they're fine.  I just can't imagine living in a place with tornado sirens...I'd be scared all time......
Anyway, I'm off to catch up on housework etc.  Oh joy, I'm so much FUN!!!!!

As if no one knew that...Don't you love it when I help keep you all up with what's going on and in touch with reality....You know, one thing I love about Friday's is....when the damn alarm goes off, not only can I turn it off but when I finally get done messing with the snooze button I and "turn it off for the whole weekend"..For some reason, the sheer joy I get out of turning the darned thing totally off gives me a great start to the weekend... 
Gas is now @ 2.64 gal.  Last time I put gas in my car it was 2.25....grrrrrr. In case you haven't figured it out I don't live far from work, Walmart and Food Stores..I always have to have my oil changed long before the mileage calls for it..They just did a report on why its us in Tennessee who have to pay all that money?  What?  Is it still .99c everywhere else? 
Wally says we're going to have dreadful storms tonight but that they'll be more concentrated in the southern area. i.e....where Zoot lives....I'd rather have them through here so I don't have to worry about my baby and her babies.........damn weather

DId you watch Amazing Race last night?  It was ok. I think I still like the hippies and I'm becoming fonder of the "preppies".  They're quite entertaining when they're not horny.  I'm thinking Barry is annoying me more every week.  BUT...I really really like Ray and Yolanda but they should have to go home just because they can't follow directions.  They nearly lose every week because they get lost.  You should have heard me yelling at them when they missed the turn to Syracusa (sp). 
Don't ya just love the dentist?  He sends Michelle into the water to play polo and then bitches about how he could have done it better.  GRRRRR.  He's annoying at the best and I can't say what he really is...........Sorry Geeks....I really did like you guys...
Cubs don't play today but the Master starts.  Does anyone out there like watching golf tournaments?  I like watching them most of the time but the ones I like the most are the "majors" and this one is the granddaddy of them all.  I hope the weather holds for it..
Speaking of weather...According to the dude on TV we're supposed to get another dose of dreadful storms tomorrow night.  Now folks, my end of TN didn't get hit too terribly last weekend and we probably won't this weekend but keep western Tennessee in your prayers ok?  They don't need any more tornados ....            
Here's a little bit of a puzzle.  Reading Laura's post about her "issue" with her bank brought this back to me.  You see, I haven't opened a bank statement in probably 10+ years. Once I could check my bank balance via the phone, and now the internet I just didn't open them when they came.  and I always round up checks and down deposits.  That keeps it from getting too terribly close so I don't notice if I'm off 10-20 bucks.  Well, fo some reason, and I don't know why, I opened it one month and all of the checks came out.  Right there in the middle of them was one that wasn't mine.  Didn't look like mine, didn't even look like and old one of mine.  Now it was only for $12.50 at a local "7-11" store but...it had my name on it, my account on it and my routing number.  It also had my address but a different phone number.  Ok so how much do you think that unnerved me?  and there was nothing anyone could do to find out what/how that happened.  It was one check only and that's it. 
I went to the bank with my statement to show them  how obvious it was that I didn't write that check.. Now, they took care of everything.  We closed the account, atm card etc and they put the money back in my account but they couldn't explain why only one check and what was going on.  Any ideas folks.  ?  When I think about it even now, its a bit unnerving.  Why would someone do that for one $12.50 check?  Any ideas? Never saw another check or heard of one bouncing either.........??????

What?  you were looking for healthy?  You didn't thinking they were good for you or your kids?  Well....DON'T GO THERE!!  Mc Donald's has NEVER bragged about being healthy and if I'm thinking "healthy food"?  the LAST thing on my mind would be Mc Donalds.  No, Mc Donalds is for the "not so good for you or anyone else food that just tastes wonderful".  Damn, I only eat it about 1-2 times a month and I want my old fries back so I can enjoy my quarter pounder with cheese and fries like I used to...........

First...Like it says on the sideline.  Don't forget about Amazing Race tonight.  They moved it from Tuesdays late to Wednesdays early...8pm.  I am so excited I can't stand myself.   (I keep telling you, I'm easy to please)..
Cubs play at 12:30 today...I get to listen at work..the main reason I got my XM radio.  I don't know if I'd have it if it wasn't for baseball.  So, I should have a nice day at work.  I've got a huge report due. i.e. typed and I can listen while I'm working on it... and one thing for sure...I don't think the announcers for the Cubs will be talking about Barry Bonds...that is a good thing.
FYI.  I tried,last night to keep the house silent.  That won't happen again. I'm used to having a radio, TV something going all the time.  I was watching the Apprentice  and put the thing on pause for a few minutes and decided to go "quiet" for a while.  Geeze....No more silence in my house..I think it even bothered Maxi..BTW...as far as the Apprentice...another dude sinned .  He didn't bring in the two people who were responsible for the loss.  He kept spouting about honor etc and  that it wasn't their fault, they worked hard and he approved of the lyrics and tune.  Do you know where we're going here?  Yep, he got fired and spouted in the taxi that Trump doesn't listen.  Well, the reason The Donald wasn't listening?  He kept asking the Dude why the hell didn't he bring the other two in the boardroom since the loss was their fault.  If the fired one was listening...he never did get the point...I still don't like any of these contestants...
Off to work and a very busy Wednesday...Have a good one and I sincerely hope this is the last really cold morning until next December...

DRAGGIN' TUESDAY

No.  I didn't stay up and watch the basketball game.  I slept from 9 pm til 5:30 am and didn't even turn over....At least I don't remember turning over.  I was so damn tired from not sleeping Sunday night I did some catching up.  And consequently I'm dragging butt this morning...really dragging butt..
Thank goodness the girl I work with will be back from vacation today.  I've had just about all of the fun a person can stand covering for two of us.
Don't forget...No Amazing Race tonight.  They've moved it to Wed at 8pm..Thank you TV gods..  Now I don't have to Tivo it and you've made Wed night at 8 a very nice hour for viewing tv...
Cubs.........won.  Good god they tried to lose, they really did but the Reds just wouldn't cooperate.  Thank you Reds.

Some good things today..WHOO  Start of baseball season.  The only team I really care about, the Cubbies, are playing at 2 today.  Pres baby is throwing out the first pitch.  I'd say he's going to jinx the Cubbies but come on.......they're the Cubs, people.  The own their own jinxes........

I've been playing with my camera some more by the way...I did make the collage below of Maxi before/after his hair cut.  He does have issues right now.  As a matter of fact, when he woke up, came to the top of the steps to see where I was, he then turned around and went back to bed...He'll get over it but I did take some pics of one of the earlier storms

There's two...Pretty but rather scary.  The death toll in West Tennessee keeps rising.. Oh yeah, and if its storming and I'm a little nervous?  Maxi, will NOT snuggle with me under any circumstances.  Geeze..

I know it really doesn't matter but I slept til 8:30 today...whooo...I know...quit it  you lost an hour sleep.  Is this day going by rapidly or what?  geeze..It's ok if its Monday-Friday but not the weekends..It's still nice here..raining but 68.......that's good.
Basketball......I don't care who wins...The two teams I was pulling for both lost..So focus is on tomorrow which is the opening day of Major League Basball.....Go cubs...I know...they're a losing cause but they're my cause but I"m thinking I may have to get another shirt and toss my Pryor shirt.   damn baby..
